I visited this place many times and went back last night for a take out order. There is a young girl with long black hair always in a pony tail (could not get her name) that is so extremely rude. Rude every time we go in there!! Don’t dare ask her a question about anything on the menu either, she will make it known that she does not eat the food. So I gave my order of what I wanted, when my food came out it was not as I ordered. I went up to her to let her know and she argued that is what you said you wanted. I’m like no, I know what I ordered. I said I can’t eat this and she starts arguing again that’s what I ordered and I said no, the nice lady on Sunday helped me and it was so good I came back for the same thing. She gets so mouthy and says I’m just going to refund your money. I said okay so I have the other food I got and now I’ll have nothing to eat. She said I have the right to refuse service to anyone and I’m refusing to serve you. Like what??? What did I do?! I told her I didn’t know it’s okay for employees to get so mouthy with the customer. I will never go back there as long as she is...

First visit. It's a Mexican fast food restaurant with an extensive menu. You have to order at the counter but they serve you at your booth or table. The food was good with decent portions. It was served on a platter type plate. Utensils were plastic from a container on a counter for condiments and soft drink dispenser. Drink refills were obtained by going to the dispenser. While you ordered at the counter the servers were friendly and helpful. Anna answered my wife's many questions with a smile and enthusiasm. The restaurant is quite small. When we arrived there was plenty of space available. When we left the line for folks waiting for service was out the door. About midway through our meal a mariachi group had arrived and serenaded the customers. The experience was pleasant, the food better than just acceptable and the staff was excellent. Yes, five stars and we will return to try other...

I’ve been coming here for about a year now, and this is hands-down the best Mexican food I’ve experienced in Prescott / Prescott Valley. Every plate is fresh, flavorful, and made with love. The street tacos are always a 10/10 — juicy, perfectly seasoned meat, fresh onions, cilantro, and warm tortillas… so good. And the salsa?? Life-changing.

One thing I absolutely love is the atmosphere. Hearing the cooks in the back sing while cooking truly brings out such a positive, happy vibe to the whole experience. It feels genuine, warm, and like you’re eating somewhere that takes pride in both their food and their culture.

If you want real, quality Mexican food, this is the spot. Consistent, authentic, and always hits the craving. El Gordo has my heart and low-key most of my money at...

The heavy set lady that was the cashier is rude and charged me for a little thing of mayonnaise after saying at first that they didn’t even have mayonnaise. I took my torta birria home and started eating until I chomped down on this black piece of what looks like it’s to be from the grill! Almost broke my tooth. I’m so disappointed in how the food was this time seems how good it usually is…. I’m disappointed in the customer service as well considering I’m a very frequent customer. Guess I gotta go to the other El Gordo’s now ! No body likes unprofessionalism anywhere, hope this place gets it together.

The taco birrea was a monument to grease, and tasted like the grill had never been cleaned .The consome was just an overwhelming load of excessive hot sause.I could not believe anyone would find this place remotely appealing.Obviously, repeat customers and those who found this place appetizing ,have virtually no experience with authentic Mexican food! The place should be renamed ElBarfo! The cook was obviously trained at the Montazuma Culinary Institute !No Bueno!
