Hart's Fried Chicken — Restaurant in Prichard

Just left here 02/25/2025 and the prices was big as the building. They have a 2pc snack dark for $6.99 that used to be $3.99. If you request 2 thighs, there’s an UP CHARGE when it used to didn’t cost when it was $3.99. If you want your chicken Crist, there’s an UP CHARGE of 0.25 a piece whereas there used to be no charge. They now CHARGE a fee for debit transactions when they used to didn’t charge a fee. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING except the cobbler has went up in there and it seems every time u turn around, MATT (Owner) has a new vehicle. So I had to ask the cashier, I said Do they pay u at least $10 an hour with these high ssa prices. She gave me a look and said Not even close. I’m sure no one there other than a manager is making $10 an hour. Harts doesn’t have enough employees to not be paying their team AT LEAST $10 an hour. Preying on the minority in low income locations. When are you folks going to wake up? When? Stop supporting businesses/people like this ESPECIALLY when the chicken...

This Hart's is okay but not the best. The night I want there, there was a lot a chaos going on in the kitchen and at the counter. There was a lot of negative energy in the atmosphere. The customers were tried, stressed, and angry and so were the staff. Customers waiting for food to be cooked and orders that are wrong to be fixed is not a good site. I understand everyone has a bad day ,so I will not take this experience personally, THIS TIME! I LOVE Hart's and for now on I will get my orders from the one in Crichton if this one is filled...
