Tetsujin Japanese Sushi & Hibachi Grill — Restaurant in Prichard

Amazing place to eat. Me and the wife have eaten here 2-3 times a week consistently since we discovered it. Every single item we have tried on the menu is fantastic in both flavor and price.

Sushi is the cheapest I have ever found. You would think that means lots of rice, but it is the opposite. There are more non-rice ingredients in the value rolls than I get in most full price rolls elsewhere. They have multiroll specials all day as well for the non-value rolls too. Red lobster roll is amazing!

All the hot dishes are fantastic too. The chicken teriyaki is LEGIT! None of that chicken thighs soaking in liquid all day crap, this is seasoned and pan seared chicken cooked with onions and drizzled with teriyaki sauce. Amazing balance of flavor.

Hibachi is very well cooked and seasoned as well. The hibachi sauce used is not overpowering and you can taste your meat of choice.

Fried rice is actual fried rice not store bought. The house noodles have a good mix of indredients in them that tastes great. And both miso and onion soups are great (but lava hot so give it time to cool!).

All of this amazingness is made even better by the owners. Incredibly nice people who just want you to enjoy your meal.

Let me start with something positive and the good; Customer service when picking up was great and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, the food is just not good. I'm concerned the shrimp may have not been "good" as in it went bad or was on the brink when cooked. The rice in both my child's dish and my hibachi was really dried out and mine lacked in flavor. The beef tataki (which is what I was really looking forward to) didn't look appetising. It tasted okay, but definitely not what I expected or am used to. The ginger salad looks like someone threw up on it. I've never seen dressing like what I received :/ Overall, it's just an unappetizing expensive meal. I haven't tried the miso soup yet, but I'm really hoping it's better than the rest of the dinner. I do want to add; We ordered a cooked sushi roll and that was pretty good and the chicken teriyaki in the child's meal was pretty good. I don't see us ordering from...

I've been eating here for a couple years. I noticed that the steak taste different and it's different people working . So i called to order today and after i ordered my usual, i politely asked did they change the steak. Instead of assuring me that everything is the same and is good, I'm asked "Do i want it or not" with attitude! I'm like wow! I called and made the order so why ask me do i want it? Im asking about the steak. Which was met with, it's the same.. Do you want it or not?? So no‼️ i don't want it and you want get my business again.. I say, anybody handle customers that way, handle food that same way. Which probably was the taste i got from my last order. Y'all go shop somewhere else for your Japanese food, because...
