Perhaps my expectations were too high because I was highly disappointed with my meal two weeks ago. The server wouldnāt stop raving about the cinnamon rolls, so I got them even though I was trying to avoid being naughty first thing in the morning. The dough on the cinnamon rolls was tough, and not appetizing. I donāt eat pork so the only meat option was turkey sausage. For some reason I thought I could at least get a salmon cake. I am not a sausage fan but I got it anyway and couldnāt eat it because the link was too fat, looked, and smelled weird. The French toast was soggy, and my fried egg seemed poached. My date ordered the breakfast sandwich. He was distraught when it came out because never have we ever ordered a breakfast sandwich that came on a hamburger bun, it is always on toast. In addition, we thought a sausage, egg, & cheese would be a sausage patty, not fat sausage links.
Now, the ambience is nice. The server was very nice, but didnāt know when to stop talking. We were happy to have an attentive server but when you are asked the same thing several times, it becomes borderline harassing. What could have been good service was ruined.
We paid the full bill, which was overpriced, for a lackluster breakfast and left both entire meals...
Ā Ā Ā Read more(Firstly staff was nice and super quick) Decided to try out their breakfast (I have no clue how their dinner is and maybe I'll try that), 3 pancakes, scramble eggs, bacon and scrapple for the total of 21$. Price alone kinda pulls me away as big breakfast from mc is 7$ then Marie's with the same selection of food was still way cheaper . To which brings me to the food, Nothing was bad and uneatable but for being local and expensive I kinda expected some jazz to it, Pancakes barley beat mcs, the eggs were the same as mcs. Bacon was nice and enjoyable, scrapple was scrapple. Overall it was a okay breakfast, Would I choose it over Marie? Never in a life time, Would I choose it againist mcs? Because the price not really. So really no reason for me to go here other then when I'm really lazy and craving some breakfast food. (Again I never tried their dinners, Looks like most of the bad reviews come from the breakfast side. So I would recommend to try dinner if it's your first...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe only reason I'm giving a 4 for atmosphere because it was extremely chilly inside Annie's during my visit on January 24th. I decided to check this place out on the recommendation from a friend. We were greeted warmly and directed to sit where we liked. I ordered the Apples pancakes, with scrapple and scrambled eggs with added cheddar cheese. Pancakes had a great flavor, fluffy, cooked perfectly with crispy edges (that seems to be a thing now). Scrapple was cooked just right as well as eggs. My companion had the shrimp and grits with a side of home friedpotatoes. Peppers and onions were added to the potatoes making them even more delicious. Shrimp and grits (as told to me) could have used some cheese, a little more creamier, shrimp had an excellent taste. We went around noon. Food was good, portions were sufficient!! It wasn't busy for dine-in, but seemed to have a steady flow for carryout. Our server Isaiah greeted us warmly and provided...
