This is a local Princeton restaurant. Tonight it was a little loud and the service was a little slow. I wouldn't have cared but we were seeing a play at McCarter and was in a bit of a time crunch. We had the mussels appitizer and the stuffed mushroom appitizer. The mussels portion was huge and enough for 2 people. The mushrooms were not wbiufh for 2 people. Both were pretty good although there were 2 mussels that were not opened and the mushrooms were buried in the clam stuffing which was more of a topping. The mushrooms were delicious with a smokey earthy flavor. I could have more mushrooms. Some of the mussels were a little sandy but the sauce was good. The garlic bread was a bit dry but good once you soaked it in the broth from the mushrooms. We shared the large walnut and bleu cheese salad which was plenty for 2 people.

Not too busy around 6 on a Thursday and nice that they have their own lot for parking. The staff was friendly and we didn't need to wait long for our food and drinks at all. For cocktails I got the fig cosmo. It was good, but I've had better cocktails elsewhere. I feel the syrup they used had a bit too much of a synthetic taste. I would stick to wines here. The calamari was bomb. Wish there was a bit more but it was super tasty. Just the right amount of sweet and salty. I think they could punch up the heat a bit since it wasn't really spicy at all. The stuffed shrimp was amazing. The risotto it comes with was heavenly. Highly recommend getting that dish. It was so comforting and the shrimp was fresh. Loved the hint of lemon in the sauce. For dessert I got the tartufo. Great way to end the meal.

Good location but food is average. They had different menu on valentines day which they didn’t mention on their website. We selected that place as they didn’t have any prefix menu on valentines day but they had different menu with only one or two veggie appetizers. Server was okay with services but not good at knowing what pasta can be Vegetarian and all, he wasn’t helpful with recommendations and explaining what can be vegetarian. Drinks are great but food was not amazing as expected. I like their eggplant tower only out of 6 orders we placed. Eggplant tower was deep fried, well presented dish.

FOUL!!! Heading to McCarter Theatre, our favorite, nearby restaurant was closed for a private event, so we decided to give Metro North a try. Regrettable decision. For the first time in my not-short life, I sent my meal back as inedible. Although I ordered chicken saltimbocca, I received a fried, sour-tasting mess floating in a sea of brown stuff. Chicken saltimbocca does not include a fried cutlet, brown stuff or provolone cheese, not to mention the overwhelming, awful sour taste permeating the dish. In fairness, the menu mentioned the provolone; the other additions were an unpleasant surprise. The server quietly removed my plate and took my order for a cheeseburger, what i hoped would be a safer choice. Next, the manager came by our table to officiously inform me that that was the way THEY made chicken saltimbocca. Really? So when you run a restaurant you can randomly select the names of traditional dishes and prepare them any way you please? By that reasoning, they could put roadkill on a plate and call it Beef Wellington (I wouldn’t put it past them). Adding insult to injury, they presented the bill with the charge for the refused entree included. After I pointed this out, the server adjusted the bill. My husband’s entree was mediocre, at best. We are talking about entrees in the high $20 - low $30 range. Virtually any restaurant in Princeton offers a better value. All restaurants in Princeton serve better food. Appalling...

This place was Great! The drinks were tip top and not Weak at all! They definitely don't hold back on the alcohol. Perfect drinks. Our Waitress " Mary" was Amazing! Very knowledgeable of the menu and drinks. She even adjusted the air conditioning because it was freezing in there so definitely bring a jacket with you. She joked around with us and she should really be a stand up comedian. She kept me laughing, and her professional demeanor is one that should be mocked by others. I'll never forget how kind and GENUINE she was. You can eat outside as well, but due to the sky appearing daunting and light rain drizzle we opted for the inside. The food didn't lack taste at all. I had the chicken parm which was a excellent portion because I couldn't finish it. THE Parmesan risotto was very tasty as well, but I think the risotto could have been cooked a little bit longer to be more soft to the bite. It was a little hard for my liking. The clam appetizer in white wine was good as well just a little too salty but not unbearable. Please don't mistaken these for complaints, everyone's opinions and taste buds are completely different from mine. I will return back to Metro North very soon! Looking forward to eating outside and seeing " Mary " the wonderful waitress with...

This was our first time at Metro North. We were excited to dine here as we heard good things. Our friends had been here before and had a good experience. Upon arriving at our reservation time, we were asked to wait and have a drink at the bar as our table wasn’t ready yet (fine with us). We enjoyed our food and decided to order dessert. Unfortunately the glass my husbands Tiramisu was delivered in broke and he wound up with a piece of glass in his mouth. He was delivered another and when the bill paid we didn’t shrug that we were still charged for it. It wasn’t until the owner came to us and told us that they were backed up and could we give up the table and have a drink in the bar on him. We weren’t even at our table 2 hours when this happened and we’re finishing up. We were taken aback when this happened and felt very disappointed. Our bill was $300 and to be asked to leave our table was very unprofessional on the owners part. I mentioned it on my way out and he didn’t seem to care. Our server, Leanna was awesome and our negative review is no reflection on her. I actually asked about information for a bridal shower but will not even consider Metro North for this event. They made us feel awful! Such an awful ending to a...
