Haven't been here in 25 years, not much has changed on the menu. That's all fine, and l was remembering this awesome burrito they had and was happy to find it on the menu still "Insane burrito " It was called that as l remembered it being well? Insane!!!! It was huge" was huge" was !!! I was extremely disappointed when my Insane burrito came out ! The only thing about it being Insane is that it's like $17 bucks? And it was far ,FAR!!!from stuffed full of meats and packed full of the goods!!! It was a burrito.. just a medium sized burrito? Nothing special in any way or form... It was good ! But l finished it in like 2 minutes, the wife just laughed and said it wasn't like it used to be is it? Nope it sure wasn't, guys you have a great place, very pleasant waitress, very fast service, nice atmosphere... but either Create a INSANE BURRITO again? Or just change the name to a burrito!! Nothing Insane about it....now l know this may be petty? But it's the difference now between us possible not returning to try other stuff and how we remembered it !! Believe me it's not my memory going lol This burrito was legendary and l had told an old friend we were heading to TJs today and first thing he said ?? You getting the Insane burrito??? I said l hope they still have it? Guess what? I guess...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe wandered in on a week night to check out what had replaced Campielloās. We didnāt have reservations, but we are told we could wait in the bar. No prob. We did so and had a sickly sweet Paloma and my husband who does not drink alcohol had a flaccid zero alcohol beer. Donāt know why they didnāt have better options but again no biggie. After a short time, we were escorted to our table where the manager/owner greeted us (If you can call it that) by saying āwhy donāt you have reservations? We have bingo tonight. If you wanna play bingo, you have to have reservations. I suppose you can play bingo tonight, but from now on have reservations.ā From the stage as he called out bingo square he kept yammering away about how two of the tables in the room didnāt have reservations. We found it so annoying that after we finished a very mediocre meal, ( chicken Thai w virtually no peanut sauce or veg) and in spite of the fact that we were close to a bingo, we paid our bill and left because we knew we would never be back to collect the āprizeā drink. Bottom line: we have never felt more unwelcome in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSometimes as a business owner you have to take the high road ā and that was not demonstrated by this establishment tonight. During our dinner, someone made a negative google review about the music volume. The DJ (and I believe owner?) rudely addressed the customer over a microphone to the entire restaurant, singling them out by where they were sitting and shaming them for leaving a review and not ājust askingā for it to be turned down āin their zoneā. He then proceeded to rally the rest of his customers to rebuttle the review online ā hence all the common reviews today. I love bingo, and think the music twist at TJās is such fun! While I didnāt care nor ask for it to be turned down myself.. I do agree it was too loud for the environment. No big deal. The person who left the review was with children who were wearing headphones and covering their ears, and had nicely asked the waitress if the volume could be adjusted where they were sitting, but it only got louder. I could care less about the volume, but the severe lack of professionalism and respect from a business was the worst...
