When placing an order, you must be careful as you will get different quotes. I order Petit Fours every year from Traubs because they are awesome there, but unfortunately this new management has staff that doesn't know the difference between petit Fours and tea cakes. What they presented me with was beautiful and of course I used them but this bring me to the next point: details. I asked for half to be chocolate half vanilla and to use pastels florets (the icing they use never cured for the florets which means they used the wrong kind of icing as well) and I got nothing of what I asked. It seems as though the person who took my order was not familiar with my request and naturally asked for help from an colleague, so my specifics got lost in translation and "the slip" did not have my specifications. The "icing" on the cake is one employee seems to get annoyed if you ask if something is done earlier then anticipated, which was weird because I only asked the question. This employee was even petty enough to make sure I waited the 10 minutes until 4 pm on the dot, which is fine, I just thought it rather silly and petty. Overall I enjoy Traubs and honestly happy they got new management because the variety is wayyyy bettet BUT practicing better listening skills would be appreciated, because as they say: if you assume what a client wants, you just the first 3 letters. Of course I would still buy from Traubs but maybe not special orders anymore because I don't appreciate the unnecessary hassle.

   Read moreI came in on Tuesday afternoon and I was immediately impressed with the assortment of Buns, Pies, Cakes and cookies. So much better presentation than say Marie's Bakery nearby. It was such a a good assortment that I missed the cookies all the way down at the end until right before I was ready to leave. Otherwise I think I would have gotten a bunch of cookies as well. I settled on the cream puffs, both the regular and chocolate as well as the Raspberry pound cake. My wife has a thing for Stocks pound cake in Philadelphia. Stocks doesn't have a raspberry pound cake though. I was excited to present this to my wife for her birthday. So the cream puffs were real good. Perfectly balanced, rich and creamy. The chocolate covered was my favorite. I would order these again. I'm not sure if I would come here just for that, but it was definitely worth it to get a fresh cream puff. The frozen ones don't stack up. Now the pound cake on the other hand, the best thing I can say about it is that the raspberry icing has good flavor. I wasn't sure if I should be expecting raspberry swirls throughout the cake itself, but it turns out that it was just plain cake. That is actually what I prefer to make it more like stocks. The flavor isn't bad. The problem was that yesterday it was a little dry. It was manageable. No stocks but she acted greatful. Birthday success. Today we tried it and the thing is dry as balls. I tossed it. Beings that the thing was close to 15 bucks, I was a little disappointed. All in all, I would come back to try the cookies and give the pies a shot. The cream pies...
   Read moreThis bakery was recommended to me and I will never go back here or recommend this place to anyone else. I placed 2 orders for 2 parties both in advance. I was having a gender reveal party and placed that one 2 weeks in advance. A much smaller order for my sons party at school, 1 week in advance. Day before my gender reveal I get a call that they don't know what image to put on my cookies after I discussed this with someone previously. Resent them the image. Next day I come to pick up my order and my pound of butter cookies is not ready. I was very upset and let them know that. I was not aggressive, I'm 5 months pregnant (at the time) and I placed an order in advance and it's not even prepared. 2 of the younger girls didn't like that I was upset and one of them was mouthing off to me so I told her that as a customer I have every right to be upset because my party is today and I placed this order much in advance. She did not like that and the other young lady came from behind the counter to get in my face and tell me I needed to stop. When I tell you I was just standing there in the most non threatening way, this people are crazy. An older woman who worked with them had to tell them to stop. Next order and my LAST order for my sons party, they call me the same day to tell me they cannot fulfill it because their baker is not coming in. I reached out to their Facebook page, they did not care literally ignored me. I called and asked for the owner to reach out because of both of these incidents, crickets... I can't believe this is how their new ownership...
