9/23/2025 It is only right and fair to adjust a rating if something changes. After my below review from months ago, I am happy to share I have been back and things have changed. Servers were awesome, food service was much faster and it tasted great. I will be back.

THIS WAS MY ORIGINAL REVIEW. It hurts me to say it and I’ve been here at least 15 times but staff have changed and it’s a lot worse. This isn’t the first time but Went last night and waited 50 mins for food and then waitress brought the wrong food. She avoided our table like crazy because she messed up. No real apology from restaurant and we were still asked to pay our $8 tab for three cokes. Sorry until it’s more organized probably not back.

I eat sushi all the time and it was annoying going to frisco just to get some. Absolutely love this place and So glad they opened. Food tastes great, servers are polite. I’ve been probably 8 times now since they opened and never had an issue. Only down side is it’s small and they are getting popular so you can find yourself waiting for a table on a Friday night, but that’s typical anywhere. It will not stop me returning. The crabaholic...

I live near Sushi Bean and finally tried it this evening. I was alone and sat at the bar. My 1st impression was that the bar was high and you could it see the fish or the work the chef was doing. It’s a really bad design. They have one person that takes your order. Honestly, her diction is so bad that I could not understand a think she says and she doesn’t seem to know anything. The chefs gave no recommendations . The place was not busy as there was only two other people eating there. I did not feel that they wanted or cared about my business which was also evident in that no one asked me how my food was. It was bad. They are getting a low rating because I and now SICK after eating sushi there. It looked bad and the only way I could eat the yellowtail was with soy sauce. The hiss salad was also terrible and could also be the reason that I am sick (not sure what did it). It was not good and the fish didn’t look or taste FRESH! Because I feel like I have food poisoning and they lack good customer service, I don’t recommend and personally cannot go back. Pepto Bismol is...

So glad we found this sushi place in Prosper. We had takeout a number of times (difficult juggling kids and eating out). Fish is super fresh and melt in your mouth. We typically order the sashimi and nigiri combo, which comes with a cali or spicy tuna roll. We trust the chef's selection, and each time, the sashimi has not disappointed. Salmon and white tuna are always good, but last time, the regular tuna was so tender, it impressed both my wife and I. And we've eaten at places such as the original Nobu in NYC. For a small tucked away sushi restaurant in Prosper, it has become our go-to for a sushi fix. Also, for those people criticizing the service.. keep in mind that they had opened just a few months ago, in the midst of the labor shortage where every service establishment is suffering from lack of staff. Give this place a try and support...

Updated: looks like they have extra staff and service has been great. Sushi chefs do a great job detailing, preparing and presenting food. Protip: skip soy sauce.. use lemons and wasabi mixed together. Fireman roll has some heat be prepared. Tuna tatami and Crab tornado roll was excellent. Small sushi spot in north east prosper. Clean and very friendly staff. Slightly under staffed when it gets busy, could use another server at times. Fresh handrolls, good quality fish. Enjoyed handrolls more than classic rolls on this visit but plenty on menu to try for sushi or non-sushi eaters. Only about 8 tables inside and a seating bar area. Worth a repeat visit for a sushi bite in the area. Glad to have it north of 380.
