True Texas BBQ — Restaurant in Prosper

Great convenience! The BBQ was good especially for the easy drive thru when you have a car full of kids. I went there today and the employee Ty was extremely helpful, the staff i interacted with we're really pleasant but when I needed something | hadn't gotten from my order (the family size sweet tea) other employees didn't see me waving my hand at the window but this employee Ty was so nice when he noticed me and extremely helpful. just from that interaction I will be back! Ooo and the kids LOVED that Mac n cheese! The brisket was good… idk why the rub wasn’t over the top finger licking good but it was ... SUPER JUICY! Like soak the bag kinda juicy... they didn't have bread for the order (maybe need to expect more business?) the potato salad was good not great but that convenience is everything right now and the kids and three adults all were satisfied off one family meal! The banana pudding was a hit! Looking forward to trying more sides they didn't have the beans which was top on my list! All in all I would recommend this spot! Ooo and the sweet tea...

First visit here, and unfortunately, not a great experience. Be mindful it’s grocery store bbq. I placed a pre-order online for pickup and waited 30 minutes before heading over. When I arrived, I was told that half of my meal was out of stock. I agreed to several substitutions, but then had to wait another 30 minutes in the parking lot before my order was brought out.

Once I got home, I discovered that half of the order was still incorrect, including the substitutions.

As for the food, it was mediocre at best. Brisket wasn’t moist. Sausage had a weird chemical taste. The nachos were soggy from waiting. Cornbread was overcooked. If you’re craving good barbecue, I’d recommend heading to Tender just up the road instead. I’m a loyal H-E-B fan when it comes to groceries, but their BBQ restaurant doesn’t reflect the same standard. You’ll continue to have my grocery business, but not my barbecue business....

TTBBQ absolutely delivers! The barbecue is smoky, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, and the sides are just as incredible. The staff made the experience even better with their friendliness and great service. I’ll be back for sure—this place is a must for anyone who loves top-notch BBQ!
