I ordered a "Pork Chop with Rice" which is a Vietnamese dish called "Com Suon Nuong", a "spring rolls" which I thought were Vietnamese "Cha Gio", and "Crispy Shrimp".
The Com Suon Nuong was average. The Spring rolls tasted horrible. It tasted like a basic fast food Chinese Restaurant's egg roll, full of cabbage and other veggies, barely any meat. The Crispy Shrimp were not crispy because they had sauce all over them. And the sauce tasted like a very mild cocktail dipping sauce and some kimchi.
This place claim to have Vietnamese cuisine and I did notice a few Vietnamese dishes but they did not have any Pho and the spring rolls were not any Vietnamese Cha Gio I've ever tasted.
I speak from a Vietnamese background. My family is Vietnamese, makes Vietnamese cuisine, speaks Vietnamese, and goes to Vietnam once/twice a year. I lived in NYC and ate Vietnamese food often (sometimes once a week) , and can speak with confidence that the "spring rolls" were extremely sub par if they were in fact Cha Gio.
And I was extremely disappointed that they claim to have Vietnamese cuisine and didn't have any Pho. And that Com Suon Nuong is posted as Pork Chops with Rice on the menu, sounds kinda white wash to me
That is my experience with those 3 dishes and nothing else. I'm sure the other dishes might be...
Read moreA Taste of Home in Rhode Island From the moment I first stepped into this restaurant, it became a special place in my heart. It immediately felt like home, and every time I visit, I’m reminded of the warmth and comfort of my grandma’s kitchen—especially when I order their chicken noodle soup.
This soup isn’t just food; it’s an experience. The broth is perfection—rich, flavorful, and comforting in a way that feels nostalgic yet extraordinary. If a kitchen can master something as simple yet profound as chicken broth, you know you’re in for a treat. Paired with their jalapeño salted shrimp, it’s a combination that’s impossible to resist. These two dishes are absolute standouts.
The service is always quick and friendly, even during busy times. The restaurant has mastered the balance between efficiency and warmth, ensuring every guest feels valued.
I’d also recommend trying the chicken noodle soup with their red chili paste—a must for anyone who enjoys a little heat. While the chili oil was a bit dull on my last visit, it didn’t overshadow the rest of the meal, which was absolutely perfect as always.
This restaurant is a hidden gem, and whether you’re looking for comfort food or simply a well-crafted meal, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s not just a place to eat—it’s a place to...
