I ordered a large 4 topping deep dish pizza in person at the front desk. I had a coupon in my email that wouldn't work and caused the employee frustration despite it being distributed specific to this location.
I asked for my pizza uncut when I was listing toppings, as it was going to be walked out as takeout. I was snarkily told that's how it comes for takeout, like I was an idiot for even asking for it. For even mentioning it. Get a load of this guy. I felt assured they would do the right thing. The wrong thing isn't an option... right?
40 minutes later, I returned when it l was told it would be ready. A few minutes later, there's the hand off, and it's neglected to be shared with me, Giordanos great shame, that they had cut it anyway - and it's a ticking-soggy-bottom-boys timebomb.
As is known, the bottom got soft and mushy as the hot toppings, sauce, grease and pizza juices seeped into the cuts, allowing the cardboard disk it sits on to merge with the bottom of the pizza crust and the box beyond. Quickly I got it home to begin pizza surgery, maybe 10 15 minutes later, and tried to save the patient. I didn't have much patience. It was kinda nasty. I had to scrap away cardboard and bake the crust back slice by slice in order to eat any of it.
... If only they didn't cut deep dish when it's for takeout...
The toppings on the pizza were not spread out. It was like biting into a whole onion at times - then a sea of no toppings. That was the only topping out of 4 I could notice. I wondered if when you add toppings, you get less of each as you add more different options? Did paying more for every additional topping not provide more "net" food? It didn't seem worth it. It was even lighter on the sauce than normal, or maybe it was Hoovered, Dysoned, and absorbed by my cardboard disc pedestal and box?
Despite it all, the pizza itself post-scrapping, when you found toppings, still tasted pretty good, and that's why I had to give it back 1 star.
It goes without saying - NOT a...
Read moreI’m visiting from Atlanta and I came to this Giordano’s pizza. My party and I Dined in and order food and to watch the NBA playoff game. I was told that I cannot watch the whole game because they were closing I was told that I could not order a deep dish because it takes 45 minutes to cook and they were closing . The waiter was nice I order 15 wings, lemonade, a beer, fries and I ordered a pizza thin crust. Pay for the meal and a box was brought up to me for the pizza to be put in. When I got back to my hotel there were three ants on my pizza so I called back no one answered the phone I also noticed on my receipt. I was sold two orders of wings so the next morning I’ll call and ask to speak to the manager. The manager takes my name and number and and told me she was gonna call me right back but it her takes 6 hours to call me back. When the Manager did call me back she was very rude she over talk me she did not apologize for anything. She was putting words in my mouth. She was stating things I never stated. I asked her several times to stop speaking over me and allow me to speak at the end of the day I would never come back to this Giordano’s pizza I have the worst service from the manager calling me and I also will be disputing this transaction with my bank. Advise people to not go to this Giordano‘s pizza, go somewhere else. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had any Giordano’s pizza in Chicago and I’ve been to many Giordano’s pizza in Vegas in Orlando Florida and I’ve never had this poor customer service...
Read moreThis review pertains to the 10410 W Cermak Rd, Westchester, IL 60154 Giordano’s location. Party of 5 people with 2 people well over 80 years old including a disabled veteran using a walker. We arrived at 7pm on a Saturday for dinner. The restaurant was nearly empty, and we were told it would be a 40 minute wait for a table. There were only 2 chaira in the waiting area. I could see there were countless 4 person booths open and 2 large round tables open able to accommodate the 5 people in our party. I told the hostesses that we just needed a place to sit down as a family to talk while we preordered our pizza and waited for it. We were told there was only one waitress and we could therefore not be seated. I am being told this while I am staring a 4 able bodied female hostesses standing idly and disinterested behind the front counter. I explained we did not need a waitress at this time, just a place that out party with the 2 elderly (one disabled) could sit down. I pointed out that I could plainly see 2 open tables available. They went to talk to the manager who did not bother to come out to speak with us and we were told there were no clean tables available, even though I could clearly see 2 preset open tables. We ultimately left. I used to regularly frequent this restaurant but will not be returning. Their failure to provide accommodation to disabled elderly veterans, complete lack of courtesy, service and industry from the management and the staff is shameful. The staff and management need to...
