This was such an amazing experience! We had a party of six and all ordered various things off the menu. Every single thing we got was delicious and the prices were fair! My mom and I ordered a chorizo gordita, shrimp sopes, chicken green sauce tamale, pineapple tamale, and a chile relleno. All of them were delicious, but the gordita was my personal favorite. My mom loves chile rellenos and orders them a lot. She rarely finds a place that makes a good one, but she was very happy with the ones made at Casa Victoria. The rice and beans were some of the best we’ve had. We asked the owner how they made it and he told us about how they tried tons of different brands of rice to find the right one. He also said that they buy their ingredients from the local farmer’s market. You can’t find a restaurant more “local” than a place that buys their ingredients from farmers in town. The owner was beyond nice! I don’t think I’ve ever had better service in my life than at Casa Victoria. From the moment we walked in he greeted us and gave us the whole run down of the menu and answered all of our questions. He gave us complimentary chips and salsa since we were a larger group and gave us samples of their homemade horchata and hibiscus fresca (which was so yummy I ordered some). He brought us out waters, had conversations with us, cleared the table quickly, and he always had a big smile on his face. He was even able to alter the menu a little bit to accommodate someone in my party. You could tell he loved owning the restaurant and it shows! The place was very clean as well. The only thing that they could improve on is that we didn’t get ice in our waters and the glasses weren’t all the same sizes and shapes. I’m definitely coming back and recommending it to friends!
*Edit: I went back with friends a couple weeks later. The place smelled like wet dog, the music was loud, the food wasn’t as good as before, and the service was ok. I’m sad that I had to lower my rating from a five star...
Read moreBest Mexican food I've ever had. Here's a rating on what we had.
Chips and salsa 5/5 - chips were home made and salsa was perfect amount of mild heat for a base salsa.
Pastor Burrito 5/5 - tortilla was divine, pastor was out of this world and perfectly mixed with the cheese, rice and beans.
Chile Rellenos 5/5 - you get a great char flavor from the pepper, and it's accented by the cheese and smothered again in a sauce that's perfectly balanced with the other flavors. No one thing is competing on the flavor front. Came with home made corn tortillas, that were hot and also delicious, and was perfect for mopping up the plate.
Quesabirria 5.1/5 - super tender and delicious beef, honestly we ordered this as a sort of appetizer and it was again incredible and maybe the best thing we had.
I ordered the Jamaica to drink and it was also crafted perfectly. Honestly just blown away at how wonderful the food was, and it was matched equally with the service. Truly a hidden gem. I can't wait to go back and try some of...
Read moreI have eaten at Casa Victoria several times now and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience every time. The owners are outgoing and do everything to ensure that they have exceeded your expectations. I have tried several things on the menu and all were hand made with love by the owner in the kitchen. The tamales are very good. Tonight I had the birria enchiladas which were prepared with hand made tortillas and served with homemade sauce, lettuce and cheese with beans and rice. They were perfect and the shredded beef was tasty and spiced just right. They also have a fresh salsa bar with incredible sauces and salsa. I judge a Mexican restaurant by the chili relleno. Their relleno is hand made , stuffed with cheese and a light batter that all mixes together for a perfect balance of texture and taste.
The restaurant is always very clean and a great place to pick...
