Del Taco — Restaurant in Pueblo

Pueblo's new Del Taco is a welcome addition, and while there are some initial kinks to work out, my overall experience was positive. Upon arrival, the immediate impression is one of a busy, almost chaotic environment. It's clear they've been bombarded with customers, leading to some disorganization and long wait times. However, I don't think it's fair to judge them harshly on this just yet; a new restaurant experiencing high demand will naturally have these challenges. I'd reserve final judgment on efficiency until they've had a month or two to settle in. The food, thankfully, lives up to expectations. It's just as good as I remember, and I was pleased to see even more options on the menu. Food-wise, I'd give it a solid five stars. The atmosphere inside is clean and new, though the space itself is quite small. Like the operational efficiency, I think it's best to wait a month or so to truly assess the long-term atmosphere once the initial rush subsides. My only real complaint, and it's not directly Del Taco's fault, is the challenging parking situation. Sharing a lot with a Bojangles and a gas station makes finding a spot difficult. Went thru the drive-thru last Saturday for an early dinner. Placed order for the 3 carnitas street taco's meal After back n forth with the drive-thru window operator ... finally got the order right (she thought I wanted #4 - which is only 2). Got charged and paid for the 3 carnitas street taco's meal.

After about a 10 min wait due to the car in front ordering a crap load of food; finally got my order and go home.

Got home; only had to 2 tacos and not the 3 I paid for. Don't like being shorted after I spent several minutes with the drive-thru clarifying my order.

Regarding the tacos ... weren't bad and yet nothing to brag about. Each were very minimal in terms of having much food; each taco was maybe 1/4 full of the street taco tortilla. Disappointing as it felt more like barely a snack than filling for dinner; didn't help i was missing my 3rd taco. Fries were just as good as I remembered when I use to go to Del Taco alot in north Aurora.

Not sure if I'll go back; not a good sign when the mess up your order for just being...

Food was good but I ordered 2 tacos and fries to go and it took over 20 minutes to get my food then the manager saids oh this has been done for awhile you need to check in at counter she the. Looked at the register girl and told her you need to let us know when they are here. I let the register woman know that she should not have too and it was not her fault they should call my name like everyone else.
