I went there for lunch with my husband and ordered the fish tacos. My husband got the Ruben which he was happy with, and the fries were good, however, it seemed like no one had ever ordered these tacos before, the waitress was confused and said this "was a first". In hindsight, I should've ordered something else at that point. The options were fresh fish or shrimp tacos, it said something along the lines of being proud of the freshness on the menu, it was supposed to come with coleslaw pico and cilantro lime sauce, sounded delicious... but I got sad luke warm shrimp tacos instead. Told the waitress this wasn't what I ordered and she told me the chef said they only served shrimp tacos... I felt like if this conversation was had with the chef I would have appreciated being told, would've saved food and time. I explained I would have ordered something else if I'd had known, she asked if I'd like to order something else and I did. The sausage grinder I got was ok, but by that time my husband was done eating, it took a while to get a replacement dish. This was my first time here and there were just small things here and there that added up to a bad lunch... There was no BBQ sauce, she brought the wrong dressing for my salad, our waters were empty most of the time we were eating, then the tacos on top of that the waitress was just not very helpful. She did apologize but it felt more of an inconvenience, and she did comp the tacos which was expected seeing as it wasn't what I ordered. I don't leave reviews this long or this bad, but I'm hoping the owner will see this and it'll be helpful, I'd want to know if I owned a restaurant. I changed my review from a 1 start to a 3 because I felt like I was still freshly put off when I reviewed, but after reflecting I didn't think it was fair since my husband did enjoy his food and there was an attempt to remedy the situation. Better communication would have...
Read moreWe had a group of nine for lunch at 1 p.m. We were seated quickly and given menus and water. The waitress took our orders and was very cool about our separate-checks situation--we're a group of retired educators that meets once a month for lunch, so we had five separate checks at our table. Then we waited, and waited, and waited. Two largish parties were finishing up shortly after we got there, but it didn't seem inordinately busy. It took over thirty minutes for our food to get to us; we never did figure out why it took so long. The food was good--my green-chili-and-cheese smothered burger and fries was very tasty. I had ordered the burger rare since they asked how I wanted it, but it came out closer to well done, though it still tasted good. My husband had ordered a BLTTA (a bacon, lettuce, and tomato with turkey and avocado), and he just shook his head at me after about two bites. I heard him tell the waitress when she asked how everything was, "That was the worst bacon I've ever had. I couldn't even chew it." Everyone else at our table seemed fine with their meals, so I don't know if it was an issue just with the bacon. Our waitress was amazing. I'd go back, but I can't rate it a 5 based on this...
Read moreTo be brief, the view was lovely, the food was decent and the staff tried. Management needs to step up here. My group of 18 reserved the room last year for 11 AM until 2 PM. We and the rest of the restaurant had one waitperson and I heard one cook. I was lucky, my food, a quesadilla came quickly and slightly burned. Others in the group weren't served until well after I had finished. The portions were a good size. Then apparently someone else had reserved the room from 2 PM until? In any case, they tried to push us out at 1:30 before we could complete our payments. Not a good...
