As far as tavern food goes, The Land does it well. We just arrived in Pullman in time for a late lunch and a quick search led us here. To be honest I'm not anfan of tavern food. I mean, we have only so many days to live on earth and you want to make the most of each moment. That said there are times where eating at a tavern is in order and if you find yourself there, The Land is not a bad choice. The Cesar not distinguished in any way, but at least the dressing tastes like it has anchovies so props there. And the chicken fingers were seasoned with something, I'm not sure what, but it made them actually taste good, not to mention that they were fried in a way where the meat was actually tender and moist. Fries were crispy and seasoned well. Most of all the service was prompt and super friendly and made us feel very welcome. I would recommend a visit if tavern food is what you're craving.

Ok Chicken Sandwich gang here me out. If you are in Pullman or ever find yourself near Pullman absolutely get over to The Land and have their friend chicken sandwich and make it hot. They make their own Nashville hot dry rub and hot oil smothered delicious breaded chicken, house made pickles perfectly thin sliced red onions all on a hearty toasted bun. The french fries are generously seasoned and the house made fry sauce is memorable. Support your local college bars and restaurants especially ones like the Land doing things right and not cutting corners on flavors 10/10 Gardner Minshew approved šŸ’ŖšŸ½ā¤ļø šŸ”„ šŸ’ÆGo Cougs !!!!!

I've been going to the land for years, and it used to be a great restaurant. Their chicken was big, juicy and had an awesome coating. However, it's really gone down hill recently. My wife and I ordered tenders and a spicy chicken sandwich to go, and it was so bad we couldn't finish it. I was really shocked, because their quality used to be so high. The chicken was so thin, you can see in the photo the slice of onion is thicker, even the coating. Also, the coating was almost like a cornmeal coating, and it was so dry and overly salted. I really hope the quality control can get back to where it used to be.

(Totally don’t expect everyone to read this but if I was a manager I would want to know this.) Food and drinks are delicious! However I just left with my husband where we ate on the patio. There was one other table there when we showed up. They were being waited on. Then another table showed up, they looked at us then waited on them saying nothing to us. Happened again. So we went to the bar where they said the patio is self served mostly which is fine. But it clearly wasn’t if everyone else was getting waited on before. Someone ordered after us, got their food before us. Which again is fine but we waited half an hour. I politely mentioned something before our food came out thinking they forgot and still no one came to wait on us. Ordered more drinks at the bar and after 20 minutes my husband went to cancel them and instead they charged them and tried to have him take them to go. Obviously not what we wanted at that point as we were ready to leave. I work in food service too so I really do sympathize. The patio seemed to be a man to man defensive style and should be a zone defense thing. It’s just really insulting to watch several servers walk past you to take someone else’s order and ignore you. By the end of the experience the patio was mostly full and everyone there was provided a...

We were here with friends only two days earlier. Tonight started out okay, but about half way through a beer the server came over in a panic asking if we wanted to check out. Since the food hadn't yet come out I said no. She then said that the kitchen was backed up. A table of two nearby didn't have their food yet and they were there when we came in. She then asked again about closing out, I said something about maybe after we get food and left it at that.

We ordered another round and settled in waiting for the tacos. A while later a stout man with curly shoulder length hair came up and said "I hear you have a problem with one of my staff." I said definitely not and joked about going out to the parking lot to fight it out. He said something about the server being upset, I mentioned that there may have been a misunderstanding since the table directly to our left was finished and packing up leftovers. Maybe they wanted to check out.

From this point on other people handled bringing us food and ultimately the check. I asked the stout man what I was supposed to have said and he said "maybe some other time." This was an absolutely out of reality experience. No explanation makes sense.

Too bad. The tacos were actually...

I LOVE the land. They have amazing spicy chicken tenders and fries. I wouldve given 5 stars, but there is an employee that works during the day shift named John, that is not the best server. There has been several times I have came in when it is not busy and he is no where to be found. In fact I waited for like 10 minutes today just waiting to place my order to go. I normally place my order over the phone, but for some weird reason the phone was off?? There has been another time that I ordered over the phone came to pick up and he just handed me my food without taking my payment. Luckily I am an honest person and have been a server before and know that, that would've been on me if the customer just walked out with free food. So I did pay for my food. I am not trying to bag on him, but I think just a little more consistency and being aware of your surroundings is room for improvement. The chef during the day shift is amazing and SO FREAKING QUICK I wish I new his name to give a shout out. Whoever he is, he's awesome and THANK YOU for always being quick and making...
