Alright, look, this is the middle of nowhere-ville, there isn't a lot of options for tacos in these parts. That being said, they did some stuff really well, and some stuff not so much. Let's start off with the fact that this place is ALWAYS busy, especially in the afternoons and evenings. This can be good or bad. Good for the business, not so good for people who avoid crowded places, but I can't fault them for that part. I can, however, fault a place serving alcohol to customer's until they are no longer fit to drive. A fishbowl size margarita probably should be limited to maybe 3... 4 should probably be cut off. Because of this, the customers can become a bit loud and rambunctious. To really dig deep tho, I'd say this place is doing the best it can. They have limited space in there, even with the outdoor seating, so it can feel a bit tight when it's busy. But that in itself says how well this business is doing. Alright, let's talk about the food. The chips and salsa they serve at the table are a nice touch, but the chips themselves were extremely bland. Fortunately, that salsa made up for it in a big way. They were busy on my last visit, so the food was a little overcooked in places. Meats were a bit dry, with the exception of the pork chorizo, and the rice was tender. But some of the complaints would be that some stuff wasn't much better than another well-known taco place famous for their bell. However, the proportions were impressively large here. I say, stop in and give it a shot. I know I probably will again.... Only when it isn't...
Read moreJust passing through, wanted to find out what all the rave was stopped here for dinner, expecting it to be outstanding. The food was just subpar flavorless ordered three tacos as an appetizer. They came out after my dinner Ordered chicken in de mole. And the strangest thing was, I was sitting at the bar, and the bartender came up to me and said to me you’re not local are you? I said excuse me, she says I know everybody that comes here and you could tell you’re not from around here felt very uncomfortable after that, like I was being watched Bartender and server kept on asking me am I OK? I said yes is everything OK? She repeats you could just tell you’re not from around here I said I’m from Pennsylvania if she repeats I know everybody that comes. Made me feel very uncomfortable bartender even asked me if I knew how to speak Spanish thought that was kind of strange. Also, strange part is I asked for hot sauce she repeated it to me and told me we do not have any hot sauce. Give me a tomatillo sauce that I got billed for Christmas. Strange what Mexican restaurant doesn’t have hot sauce to add...
Read moreThis is a brand new restaurant that was operating as a food truck until late August 2021. The food is phenomenal! It's classic and Tex Mex style. Having just moved to the area a week ago (and authentic Mexican/Tex Mex being one of our favorite styles of food), I was beyond stoked to see this open right here in Punxsy. Taco Inc. was hopping when we arrived and they were almost at complete capacity by the time we left (glad the public is showing up to support so strongly). We had amazing and friendly service throughout our meal (from Jackson, she was awesome!). Gina is one of the managers and was coming around to check on people regularly and was an absolute riot to boot. As for the meal, we ordered enchiladas molé, and a combo platter of enchilada/chili relleno/tamale with rice and refried beans. Every bite was delicious! They have outdoor seating, too. If there is a wait, believe me...
