The is hands down, one the best Indian Restaurants in all of Quakertown and Lehigh Valley. After trying over 15 different Indian restaurants all across the Lehigh Valley, I would say that this is definitely the best one. The food here is beyond delicious. This restaurant is owned by a lovely family from Punjab. They make everything fresh and as close to traditional as I have seen around here. When I went there, I got their Butter Chicken. It was the creamiest, softest and the most flavorful butter chicken. The gravy of the butter chicken was very delicious and I couldn’t hold myself from drinking it away or using it as a dipping sauce for my Naan. I also got their Palak Paneer (Spinach Cottage Cheese Curry). They were very generous with their Paneer portions too. It was also very delicious. I had these with plain Naan and Garlic Naan breads. These Naans were cooked fresh in their Tandoor (Brick/Clay Oven) to every order, making them the softest, warmest and the fluffiest breads. The main course dishes also come with complementary rice. I think they use Long Grain Basmati Rice, which is the best kind of rice, in my opinion. The rice had an amazing aroma, smelled delicious and tasted even more delicious. The highlight of the meal for me, was their Samosa Chat. It was a super-rich, sweet, savory, spicy, tangy appetizer that was just busting with flavors. It had a samosa, with potatoes, peas, yogurt, tamarind chutney, spicy green chutney and a whole blend of spices. If I could recommend one appetizer from this place, then this would be the one. Lastly, at the end of the meal, I got Gulab Jamun. It was not too sweet, something that I prefer. It had a good balance of sweetness. Lastly, to end my meal, I got their mango lassi. Their mango lassi was smooth and sweet. I liked it very much. Everything was reasonably priced. The owners were very kind to me. I also saw them give out complimentary Mango Lassi to customers in case their food was taking too long to be prepared or in case the customers were waiting for too long. This was very kind on their behalf, and it made me very happy to see their generosity. I would definitely recommend this place. It’s a 1000/10. Their food is excellent and the vibes of the restaurant is great. Please come here and support this small local family business. I would definitely come back here...
Read moreI think all you people are lying about how awesome this place is or maybe you went to dinner blindfolded...Today is November 3rd 2018.. MY friend and I went to the green chili today based on the reviews from all you people and I believe first impressions are always the best. As soon as we walked in we were immediately turned off because of the obvious dirtiness of the place, I'm assuming the man that was sitting in the dining room in his worn-out T-shirt shorts and flip flops with dirty feet was the owner/cook who then walked in the kitchen I'm assuming to make our food 😷..At least three of the tables were dirty with rice and other spilled things that were already dried from whoever ate their previously. The floors were dirty and one table in the corner was stacked with sweatshirts and whatever cloth materials that was packed on the seat. The window that you're supposed to order from was filthy I could only imagine what the kitchen looked like.. There were two other Indian gentleman who came in right after us and I could see the look on their faces of uncertainty so at that point we knew we weren't the only one who thought it was gross so we did ourselves a favor and walked out, within two seconds they were right behind us. kudos to you brave ones!... I'm sure they're really nice people and I may sound mean but it's My overall view of the place and it's the...
Read moreWow wow wow! Neeru and Raman have created a hidden gem. The Green Chili restaurant in Quakertown Pennsylvania has the most authentic and delicious Indian food I’ve had in America.
As you know the best food in the world is usually in a little hole in the wall. All I can say is I’m definitely glad I decided to take a chance on this amazing restaurant.
From the deeply layered flavored chutneys to the crunchy papadam and perfectly balanced soft, doughy-yet with a crispy texture, garlic naan… rarely have I ever tasted better…not even in London.
I ordered the chicken curry because that’s always a good basic test. It was perfectly spicy, an excellent consistency, a rich, deep red, and it was loaded with chicken. My husband had the tikka chicken because he likes things milder and it could not have been more succulent, plus incredibly delicious.
If you’re concerned about price point, it’s very reasonable, especially for the quality you receive. I believe the Green Chili restaurant may be Quakertown‘s best kept secret.
It’s my new favorite restaurant! If you love Indian food, it will definitely be yours too!
Great food! Great service!...
