Spent the day down here today and what a great park this is for the kids. It’s very clean safe and so much fun. They have an amazing little snack stand inside the shops that is really well priced and has some pretty good food. They have a skate and bike shop inside that if you need something really quick like same bearings or an innertube or you want to buy some T-shirts or grips they have everything you would need inside there. Everybody from the staff was very helpful and friendly and even came out two times while we were there today with the kids to tell us that they had free cookies inside. Just park I heard was funded by the professional skateboarder Tony hawk and designed specifically by him. They had so much help from professional skateboarder and BMX riders building and designing this place that I think it’s an amazing place for the children to go to and spend their time. If you’re ever in the area just stop by and watch the kids ride their bikes do some cool tricks and...
Read moreProbably the best skate park within a pretty sizable driving distance. It’s large, has a great bowl. But more than that it’s safe , clean, and positive. It takes a force of good people and they have it here. True testament to all of the leaders , volunteers , community, and the kids young and old that are there daily. It’s sets a standard for surrounding municipalities still using cost and insurance as obstacles. Restrooms , snack bar, parking , basketball , lights , community events, classes, and more. So I guess this review is more for parents rather than the athletes. You can bring your child here and stay and you’ll see some amazing kids do some amazing things. Should be a model for a successful program for any community with skate park or action sports brought to their...
Read moreThis is such an amazing place. Sure, as a traveler, I’ve been to better parks just on their own, but the amenities makes it one of the best I’ve ever been to. The free meals they give kids during the summer, the cheaper food and drinks available, an A/C building with things to do like an Xbox and tech deck bowl and parts available to buy. The best thing? An entire shop to work on whatever you have; a skateboard, scooter, or bmx bike. Genuinely so awesome that they have this. I’ve been to probably over 50 parks by now across the U.S. and have yet to see this anywhere else. I just hope the community continues to respect it so they can continue to offer it. The shop is a wonderful thing for people who may not have access to these...
