Tapas al Gusto by Letty's Cocina — Restaurant in Queen Creek

I have no clue why anyone would give this place a rating better than 2 stars. Some of the worst mexican food I've ever had. We ordered the ribeye burrito but they said they were out of ribeye so we settled for the carne asada burrito, a free taco, and a drink to cover the difference in price.

What was delivered was a carne asada burrito with mayonaise on it. GROSS! NO TACO NO DRINK

So we ended up paying $22 for a burrito we couldn't eat due to being beyond nasty.

I left a negative review and Letty then called me to tell me I was a bad customer and that I was ungrateful then proceeded to leave a defamatory response claiming racism. BEYOND RIDICULOUS!

I asked her kindly to remove the lies but she refused. I had to send her a legal demand letter and threaten a libel lawsuit before she would remove the defamatory response.

A better way to handle this would have been to invite us to try something else on the menu for free or give us a refund. There a lot of positive reviews for this place but my experience and the food quality was 0 out of 5.

Needless to say, I will NEVER patronize this woman's...

Glad we found this place on Google. We were looking for something new to try and this was off the beaten path. It definitely lived up to the reviews/stars as everything was super delicious and freshly cooked/prepared. Spanish/French/Indian fusion was new for us. Letty, the owner/chef was extremely friendly and personable, and I especially loved how much she loved what she was making for us. It came through in quality and freshness with a variety of flavorful offerings. We had the salmon taco, fish taco, shrimp taco, Carne asada taco and a chicken chimichurri taco. Also got a side of chips & salsa as well as the bean dip (which is not how you'd expect it to be prepared...in a very good way). We had to eat in the car since we showed up in at the tail end if a dust storm, so it was too windy outside to sit at the outside tables. Even that didn't detract from our experience. I am from out of town and I heard about this place through my cousin. I decided to stop by to get some food. I am so happy I did! First, I have to add that Letty is an incredible host and great with customers! I had the Argentinian Quesadilla, the shrimp taco and the birria taco! Everything was absolutely outstanding! If you ever find yourself in the Queen Creek area of Arizona, please do yourself a favor and stop here! You won't regret it! This includes those in the Phoenix area as well! You must stop to try out this food truck! Great food, great service, and all around a great experience! Truly enjoyed the conversation I had with Letty about her culinary background.
