Puerto Rico IceCream — Restaurant in Río Grande

The ice cream is good. That being said, I’m rating it a 4 because it says “dine in” on Google and when we arrived there at 4pm on a Monday, with a toddler, the door was locked and it said “drive-thru only.” So we waited on line with the cars on foot. Also, the service is crazy slow. It’s probably the slowest ice cream place I’ve ever been to. It’s almost funny bc (realistically) how long does it take to put two scoops of ice cream on a waffle cone lol weird it takes so long. But if you have a car, and time to spare, by all means...

Their helado is muy muy bien! Our server, Jay, is an excellent employee who was extremely helpful and explained all of the options and flavors, as well as some of the items we weren't familiar with, like limbars and blackouts. Jay recommended the local Puerto Rican chocolaté Cortez flavor and he was spot on! Excellent treat after dinner treat with an incredibly friendly owner, Jay Blanche. The homemade ice cream flavors were awesome, especially the Avena, the cinnamon ice cream with oatmeal cookie, their best seller. Also enjoyed mint chip ice cream which according to my daughter was awesome. My son’s Açaí was excellent as well. We will be back to try...
