Mario's Italian Sports Bar — Restaurant in Racine

We have been going to Mario’s for years. The food is kind of hit or miss, you have to know what to order. The Pizza Bomber is a great sandwich and I have never been disappointed with that, their Saturday night rib special used to be my favorite, I’m sad they got rid of that. Their Italian food is good too. Their prices are fair I will say that, this is mainly the reason we keep coming back. The waitress is kind of abrasive (if you know what I mean) she comes off rude but she can be friendly if you get to know her. If you have a party larger than 4 don’t expect them to move the tables for you. You will be doing the moving. The main reason for my low service rating is because the food took forever. We were there on a Sunday night (after 7pm) there was hardly anyone eating there. Of course the bar was full (hence great atmosphere) but I believe we were one of a few tables occupied. We waited over an hour for 2 burgers, a salad, and an order of stuffed shells. I think these are relatively easy dishes to make and there’s no reason it should have taken that long. Mario's Italian sports bar is one place that may be overlooked in Racine so if you have not tried it yet I highly recommend you do so because the food is so good you will feel like you are dining in a Italian restaurant and not a pub if it weren't for the obvious bar atmosphere which is one reason I usually don't dine in unless I plan on having drinks with my meal but if I do they offer a wide drink selection with a good variety of mixed drink options from their specialty menu plus the staff is always friendly and welcoming. The food consist of your standard Italian options like lasagna and different pasta options but they also offer other food options like Pizza, burgers, Pizza burgers lol fried chicken, and different sandwich options and needless to say it's a sports bar so if you're trying to catch the game this is a good...

We tried Marios for the first time. The house Italian dressing was tasty, as was the bread. The serving portions are very generous, but the items we tried were fairly bland. The lasagna was pretty decent, good ingredients, but lacked flavor. The ala vodka, the same. Couldn’t really taste much difference between this sauce and the marinara. The alfredo sauce was flavorless. We were disappointed. We ordered carryout, and when we got home realized the alfredo item was actually marinara with chicken We called to let them know, and they corrected it quickly, though it was quite a drive to get there and back.
