I ordered three things and they were all absolutely amazing. I called my order in at around 5:40 p.m., and I specify that I did not want to pick it up until 6:20 pm. Because that is when my hotel could give me a ride there to pick it up. My order was fresh and ready at exactly that time. I actually got there about 5 minutes early and it was ready to go. I'm sorry that I did not include pictures of my actual food, it was a pick-up order. I'm a flight attendant, I had worked four flights today, and I was starving, so I was too hungry to stop and take pictures. So just imagine that it was fresh and JUST RIGHT! The Enlightened Spinach Salad was my favorite thing! I ordered the small size, and it was plenty. I did order other items too, but this salad was a big size for a "side salad". It had very fresh spinach, a lot of dried cranberries (or cherries? I need to check the menu again, but I'm pretty sure they were cranberries), and whole candied pecans! Those pecans were GREAT! They did not skimp on the pecans.The salad was topped with feta cheese. I love Feta. It had so much feta on top that I was able to take half of it off and put it onto my pepperoni cheese bread that I had also ordered. But I think what really made this salad amazing was the Balsamic vinaigrette! that vinaigrette is SO delicious that I think I need to copy the recipe... If I can find it. -- Hey Mellow Mushroom, - can I git yo' recipe? đ . I also ordered a small order of wings for a meal tomorrow, --- since I won't have time to buy any food, I have to plan ahead! The life of a flight attendant! I asked to get the sauce on the side, and they did that. I also asked for extra celery, and they gave that to me as well. Everything was great. By the way, my husband and I own a restaurant in Texas. So I completely understand what it takes to get an order out the way someone asks for it. I really appreciate that my order was executed correctly. Thank you Raleigh-Durham Mellow Mushroom STAFF! You did a great job with my order...And you are friendly...And your location looks great! I've been to Raleigh-Durham a lot of times in the past 8 years for my overnights, but I haven't seen your location until tonight. I heard that it's fairly new. It looks wonderful!! Who made your sculptures? Who designed them, who approved them? Great choice on the artist. I was only inside for a few minutes, but I was greeted very warmly. Everyone treated me great. I only got a quick view of the interior because I was picking my order to go. You're doing an excellent job during this covid-19 experience. I applaud you. Your staff was definitely on top of it when I dropped in. I like the interior, and I like the sculptures outside. I only got a picture of the sculpture the front, I didn't get a picture of the amazing sculpture in the back yard. I will get one next...

First time - my group was seated at a table and told someone would be with us soon. We waited 15 minutes (on an afternoon that the restaurant was at about 50% capacity) with no one stopping by, and we thought âno big deal, weâll just let one of the servers knowâ. We got the attention of one server, told her we hadnât even ordered drinks yet, and were told âsorry, this isnât my sectionâ before she just walked away. We then tried to ask another server, but she looked at our group with a side eye and just walked past. We got up and left approximately 25 minutes after first entering with no service.
Second time - I took another small group, and I figured the first time I had went was just a strange occurrence. Service was better this time, but the pizza I ordered came out nearly completely uncooked in the center and tasted like wet dough throughout. I talked to the server and they were able to comp part of the meal, which was an excellent response on their end. People Iâve spoken with since have told me âoh yeah, Mellow Mushroom cannot fully cook a large pizza to save their lifeâ, and I cannot comprehend a pizza place being unable to actually make a pizza correctly.
Third time - I had never planned on going back. Having two bad experiences for different reasons was enough to make me stay away. However, I received two coupons in the mail and figured that there was no way that one location could mess up three times in a row. You will never believe what happened! We sat at our table and had our drinks ordered, but then a different server came up to take our order. We explained that someone was already helping us that had just taken our drinks. The new server condescendingly says, âNo, youâre misunderstanding. This is my section.â My group looked at each other confused before reordering our drinks. During this time the original server came back, dropped off the drinks, (silently) argued with the new server, and then took our food order. Strange, but not our business. Our food comes out, we eat the most inoffensive pizza in existence, and our servers still cannot come to an agreement. Awkward to be in the middle of it all, so we decide itâs time to just go and thank them for their time. Our pizza leftovers got to stay at the restaurant.

   Read moreImmensely disappointed in the level of service at the Brier Creek location. I placed an online order (already paid for with an included tip) at 5:25 with an estimated ready time of 5:53. I didnât arrive until 6:25. With that being said my order should have been ready two times over according to the online website. I even called around 6:00 to let the staff know I would be late and was told my order was ready and sitting. I was also told to call in once arrived for a staff member to bring my food out. After waiting 5 min with no food brought out to me l decided to go in to get it myself. To my bewilderment I heard the girl getting my order together say my cheese bread was not ready. At this point I told her I had placed an order over an hour ago and needed my money back for the cheese bread as I was not waiting any longer. She got her manager, Ivan, who mildly apologized and proceeded to tell me that the system sets them up for failure because it does not document an accurate ready time. He did try to rectify the problem by giving me a couple free small specialty pizza cards. However this is not the first time this has happened as I told him to let his upper management know. After waiting another 5 min for Ivan to finish up with a phone call, I finally inquired yet again about the refund I deserve for a product/good I did not receive. Although I did get the refund it took me two attempts to finally get. As a paying customer who has gotten poor service I expect the problem to be rectified immediately. I should never have to wait for the manager to help another customer with their issue before mine is fixed especially when I was being waited on first. I would like to add that my attitude throughout this horrible process was quite pleasant which I doubt some would have the ability to do. Mellow mushroom you need to fix your online system to reflect accurate wait times and train your managers and staff on acceptable customer service.
