Strong Advice to the dining public of Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill - "RUN FORREST RUN" - as Fast as you can Away from the Brier Creek (or any Flying Biscuit in the Triangle)!!
Breakfast there yesterday (Mon Apr 29) was hands-down the worst dining experience I have had in Any restaurant in over 45 years of living in the Triangle!
The absolute only reason I gave 1-Star is because Google will not accept Zero.
Facts - Drove down to area from Asheville NC for an important medical appointment in the Raleigh area that afternoon. Party of 4 adults - arrived at 11:30 - had not eaten and needed/wanted breakfast - passed up not only a Bob Evans, but multiple fast food and other food choices in the area before stopping at FBC - seated at a 4-top table upon arriving. Order taken 29 minutes later (11:59) - should be noted that other seated parties walked out while waiting for their order to be taken. Due to the appointment time concern, we made sure that the server understood that we needed to be out by a certain time, and he assured us that it would not be a problem.
Food - Part of 2 orders were received while 2 others waited. No sugar on table for coffee and no butter on table for biscuits. No small plates provided for complimentary 4 biscuits. Cold incorrect inedible Hollondaise sauce on the French Toast item, improperly cooked eggs, and cold/poor quality bacon/breakfast sausage for BOTH Egg-Stravaganza dishes. Bacon Egg Biscuit was missing the bacon. Other 2 orders came out much later - were incorrect/missing items, and one had to basically be boxed to-go due to time constraint.
SUMMARY - Bill for 4 people (with no alcohol or fancy drinks) came to $73.07, and we could have had a better overall quality experience at a convenience store. FBC - if you are experiencing staffing/supply/other issues common in today's dining world, CLOSE THE DOORS and stop pretending to be a public dining establishment.
Note ** We are experienced mature diners who have eaten literally all over the world and do not hesitate for 1 second to leave a stellar review for a place actually trying to do a proper job serving the paying public.

Read moreMe and my brunch date were from out of town and we had never been to The Flying Biscuit but decided to go their based on the reviews.
Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. We showed up and was told it would be a 35 min wait...not a big deal. While waiting several large parties cleared out so we anticipated being seated momentarily (within the 35 min wait). This never happened and we continued to wait. About 50 min of waiting I asked the hostess how much longer on the wait. She gave me no timeframe and just said they would get us seated asap since they had several tables open and they were just cleaning them. We were finally seated after about a 1hr 20min wait.
Once seated, at the bar, it took awhile to get our water... this is fine since our waitress was the bartender and she was very busy. She brings our waters and we order our food. The bartender was great at taking our food and drink order timely. The bartender got our drink order quickly however, we had issues with the food order.
About 15 min after ordering our food I was pleasantly surprised to receive my food from a waitress (not the bartender) however my date did not get his food. Nobody came and checked our table to make sure we had everything or needed anything or offered drink refills during this time. We sat patiently and finally after about 20min after receiving my food a waitress (not the bartender) came to our table with food and we thought, great, his food is here. She gets to the table and then realizes it's not for our table and she walks off.
We were unable to get someone's attention so my date got up, went to the bar and had to advise the bartender he still didn't have his food. They did take care of the issue immediately and about 30 min after I got my food, he finally got his. Although they apologized for the incident. It would have been nice to at least been given a discount on his food. The food was good but the service was horrible. I would not recommend...
Read moreMy recent experience at The Flying Biscuit was nothing short of phenomenal! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the warmest staff who made us feel right at home. Their hospitality truly set the tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the food - it was absolutely divine! My friend ordered the High Flyer, and I opted for the Egg-Stravaganza, and both dishes exceeded our expectations. The High Flyer, with its fluffy pancake, perfectly cooked eggs, and crispy bacon, left my friend raving about every bite. As for my Egg-Stravaganza, it was a true feast for the senses. The combination of savory chicken sage sausage, crispy bacon, and the pièce de résistance - the most heavenly French toast with raspberry sauce and honey creme anglaise - was a culinary masterpiece. Each bite was a symphony of flavors that left me utterly satisfied.
Ah, how could I forget to mention the homemade biscuits and apple butter? They were absolute perfection, with the biscuits being light, fluffy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious, while the apple butter added a delightful sweetness that complemented every bite. To top it all off, our wonderful waitress even sent us each home with a few extra biscuits and apple butter, a gesture that truly went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction.
Needless to say, by the time we finished our meals, we were completely stuffed and in the best way possible. We promptly fell into a blissful food coma, a testament to the generous portions and irresistible taste of the dishes.
Overall, The Flying Biscuit not only offers some of the most delicious food I've had in a while but also boasts the nicest staff who truly go above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. Whether you're a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and indulge in the culinary delights that The Flying Biscuit has to offer. You won't be...
