Mi Rancho — Restaurant in Raleigh

I have been dining here at Mi Rancho as long as I have known the owner's for years now...... I have been residing in NC for 34 years now .....This is the only place I will eat all of my favorite Mexican dishes and recepies , as they are so aunthentic, the food is absolutely deliscious and athentic and the restaruant is extremely clean and the Customer Service is out of his world !!!! I have traveled the world , overseas and including Mexico , and this restaurant services the best aunthentic mexican food here in the state of NC !!! They cook aunthentic Mexican food ! I promise if you eat here for lunch or dinner you will love it , and the drinks are very delicious and to your expectations at all times!! I call Mi Rancho home when it comes to eating Mexican Food , service and bringing my family and friends at all times I never have had a complaint........Mi Rancho caters to everyone , and they care about your opinion, and how you enjoy all of what they have to offer .......I have had Birthday parties , to bringing my Employees to a Christmas parties here at Mi Rancho , It's quaint , clean , and there staff is so awesome and their Customer Service with all of their waiters is awesome! I am Puerto Rican married to a Mexican ,and residing here in North Carolina for more than 34 years , I should know about Mexican Restaurants in NC.... The owners are very humble, respectful, and care about their Customers , I promise !! ......And Jenny ?? she works the bar , can make any drink you ask for with the highest quality of alcohol they have to offer , let be Mexican or American , without complaints , I promise !! ... Owner or manager on staff was rude. Food was nasty. Quesadilla was sogging. Grease was dripping out of it. Asked for peppers and onions to be added in quesadilla and server had to bring 5 minutes after the food was served because they forgot. I took one bite of my taco and it was nasty! I told my server and asked her to remove it from the bill since I didn’t eat it. I even offered to pay for the one taco I took a bite out of. She said okay and still charged me for the meal. I went to the register and asked her why was it still on the ticket and she calls over a large short man “the manager”. He was rude and told me that if I was served the food then I’m going to be charged. I told him it was made incorrectly and nasty and I told my server the same. He said any restaurant you go to and are served food - YOU MUST PAY FOR. literally getting angry, rude, and at this point raising his voice.

I said I had no problem paying for the food I did attempt to eat - the one taco. But would not pay for the combo meal since it was not made correct.

He said NO - we served you and you must pay. I said NO - I will only pay for what I ate since I told my server it was not what I asked for and nasty.

He said I should’ve come to the manager first to let them know.

Regardless of who I let know - I should not be going back and forth with any manager the way this man was going back and forth with me.

He did take off the meal but did charge for The peppers and onions that were served...

We were celebrating a friend's bday and he's more vegetarian than pescatarian. We came last year for a birthday and had a decent experience so figured we'd double back. As he was looking for a fish option fried tilapia was like 45$ that's 😧. So he settled for a veggie burrito. Now this is where it pissed me off. We were a lil staggered in ordering as we were trying to figure out options for food and drinks. I initially ordered my drink a frozen mango margarita with sauza. After returning with the other 2 drinks I was still waiting. She asked me if I wanted mangonada I said no as I'm not a fan of chamoy and tajin in my drink. Guess who gotta mangonada? Then she returns with food. My daughters plate is wrong. 5 mins later she tells me that they don't have sauza so I get hornitos. Chips are gone salsa is empty no ask for refilling. As only 1 person has food. Long story short where is hornitos and sauza top shelf?? Why is a margarita 23$ I was a lil upset because as a bartender it was extremely high for a weak drink. The food was still decent once the right food was brought out. Just covered with a very salty queso Blanco that got rubbery qwik. I 2ont patronize any longer because I feel there was some funny business going on as I've had margaritas there B4 and never remember paying 23$ and receiving...
