Wow amazing that’s all I heard all night!! I reached out to James Sampson at corner boys bbq to cater food for my wife’s birthday party. And let me tell you it was an amazing experience from the time I initially spoke with James to place the order. James was very thorough and detailed as far as quantities and what to expect and gave me a weekly update up to the day of the party. Then the day of the actual party James and crew made it a painless process for me as I was managing various tasks. And once the food was served at the party as I was working on a few things my son came up to me and demanded I call Mr. James, which I did and he proceeded to tell him this was the best food he had ever had in his 11yrs on this earth. We had Jerk chicken, turkey bbq, green beans, and Mac & cheese. There wasn’t one person out of 55 people that had one bad thing to say as I asked for honest feed back. There were some that said best food they’ve had as well others asking about the green beans specifically and others that just said AMAZING! It really was a huge part of our party’s success and fun. I saw the Corner Boys BBQ truck at a car dealership today and decided to give it a try with a friend. It was pretty expensive. We ordered a brisket plate (13.75) and a BBQ sandwich plate (10.75) and the person taking orders said to, "get today's special; $25 for two meats and it comes out cheaper." I'm kicking myself for not adding up the math until I left, but you can see that not only is it more expensive by itself, I guess it only included one side. So they charge for a second side in addition to the $25. They put everything in one box and when I opened it, I was surprised how little food there was for the money. I asked him if it was correct and he said it's half of each meat. So the "special" does not make sense. Half servings of two meats for more money than two complete plates. He did take the container back to put more meat on it after I asked.The BBQ itself was a little salty for my taste but otherwise pretty average. I will not be back. I cannot say enough good things about Corner Boys BBQ!! This is literally the best BBQ I have ever had! Easily the best BBQ on the whole East coast! Every week my boyfriend and I make it a point to drive to their location and enjoy the delicious food!! We go crazy for the weekly specials like the tostados, tacos, and fish!
