Saltwater Seafood Market — Restaurant in Raleigh

I will never ever ever shop here again. I have been shopping here for years on a weekly basis spending $100-300 weekly. Last week i stopped by and while coming in i noticed that they where kicking someone out that had disability dog with them, With me working in the medical field i knew this was completely illegal. But i bought what i needed and left and told myself i would not be returning because that was not right. Today my parents wanted to cook out and wanted fish. I have not looked for another fish market so i returned here. As i was checking out the lady that was checking me out gave me back the wrong change, since i corrected her she under her breath says let me get my self together before i cuss someone out. Im sure she did not think i would hear her since she also had a mask on. I informed her to please not speak like that because i was just trying to correct her about giving me the wrong amount of money back. She goes on to say i was just talking to myself because i have heart issues and continued to say things under her breath. When i asked her to please stop being rude and to remember who the customer was and to please ring up my next order. She continued, at this point I'm asking for the manger and he comes and Instead of listening to the customer he just starts yelling. I don't know this to be Dave so i am very shocked. But i will never shop here again. I will not support a local business that allows there staff/management to treat customers like this. In the time that we are in customer service should be grade A+. By far the worst catfish and fries I have ever had. And I have eaten catfish from coast to coast. Waited almost an hour for warm/ stale fries and catfish fried in grease that should have been changed hours prior. Not to mention the catfish had zero flavor and tasted like polluted ocean water. This place is a hole in the wall for sure that smells like rotting seafood and sweaty gym bags . Usually that means the food is going to be amazing (not the stench), however that couldn't be further from the truth for this establishment. The staff seemed unenthused to be there and unapologetic for taking entirely too long for carry out seafood. I really wanted to like this place so I could have a back up catfish restaurant. I will happily continue to support the Farmers Market Seafood Restaurant that offers consistently great food and great customer service. Even with a line out the door you will have your food faster than this place with alll of 5 people in front of me. I can only hope that maybe things are better if you go earlier in the day and not two hours...

I usually like to to get my fresh fish at Saltwater Seafood actually I bought 6 Red Snapper while waiting for my cooked food and occasionally I have purchased their fried fish and it was delicious. Today I walked in and bought 3 fried fish orders 1Croaker,1butter fish,1spot and fried Oysters. When my family And I proceeded to eat the food we all had complaints. The fish was not freshly fried and it was luke warm the boiled potatoes were disgusting 🤢. So I called to explain to the owner that our food was not pleasing in a very respectful manner however the owner was screaming on the phone stating that the fish was freshly fried when order is placed in which it had not been he also stated that it was not his fault that I ordered my food and took my time to pick it up and he hung up on me.
