The Butcher's Mexican Grill/ Los Carniceros — Restaurant in Raleigh

The burrito was greasy and the steak meat was cooked hard, the rice was very soft and there was no real taste. I returned it today and they told me I should bought it back the same day. I called yesterday after taking 2 bites. No one answered. I called today no answer. So I took it back today l, with the thought that the would understand and cook another one, I even tips the cashier yesterday. Sometime mistakes happens I understand but they was so rude me because I brought sometime I couldn’t eat and they didn’t want to take it back. They called someone and they told them to give me my money. I guy that gave me my money tried to give me less and told me not to come back.. It was the worst customer service I have ever experienced...

This restaurant recently changed names, and I’m assuming changed owner, because the quality has taken a nosedive. I used to go here often when it was the Butcher’s. Now it’s called something else. The asada burrito was terrible and nothing like I’ve ever had from a taqueria before. It tasted and felt like it had been microwaved (hot and hard/stale). The chorizo in the tacos was cold. I went in here around 4pm. It could have just been the person making it was having a bad day, because they were a bit short with me when ordering. If anyone reads this and is looking for incredible Mexican food that is consistently amazing, try La Casita in Knightdale. It’s a shame because now there is one less amazing Mexican food...

The vibe: walking in, the place is spotless and well cared for, but has character. Plenty of seating. Several HD TVs. Great visuals on the menu at the order station. Modern credit terminals. Friendly, welcoming staff, who are attentive. The food: phenomenal. Tortas as big as your head (see photo, scaled with my standard size mouse), yet you can taste all the ingredients. Not just about the portions, but they are impressive. Chorizo fries are their own meal. Sirloin burrito and chorizo quesadilla were fully consumed in one go, due to deliciousness.
