Wade Cafe — Restaurant in Raleigh

A new restaurant (to me at any rate) popped up in my Google search for lunch spots near work, so I thought I'd check it out. It's hidden in an office building not too far away from RBC. They specialize in sandwiches and panini.

The roast beef panini I ordered was quite good, the bread fresh and toasted, and the beef cooked just right and pleasantly pink. They offer chips, potato salad, and pasta salad as a side, but today I chose the fresh fruit. Served in a cup, it was made up of freshly sliced strawberries, pineapple, and melons. No canned fruit from what I could tell.

Friendly service and a respectable price make this a place I'm sure...

I finally got a chance to check out Wade Park yesterday. It was a nice little deli spot. Parking for this place is a little bad, but otherwise it is a good location. This deli is in the lobby of a office building, and the employees working this deli is very nice and helpful. One of the reasons I like this place, they serve breakfast food and lunch sandwiches no matter what time of day. I had the house triple decker sandwich with a pasta salad side, and it was pretty good. The sandwich was big enough for two without question, and the pasta salad was a step above what it expected. Amazing little cafe. My first experience here was based on Google Maps' explore near you. I was in Raleigh for a doctors appointment that ran late and I was starving. I clicked on Wade Park Cafe because it sounded life a nice small place where they make quality food. I was right. I arrived at 2:03pm, not knowing that they close for the day at 2! They still made me an Italian panini with potato salad to go even though they were closed! From looking at the menu it is a typical courthouse cafe with similar food to Panera.
