Update 2021/10/27: They haven't allowed app orders for at least two months now. Wendy's across the street had a similar issue but after 6 weeks, they fixed their issues, Jack in the Box hasn't. It's a good Jack in the Box, with better than average Jack in the Box food and average customer experience. Usually it's fine, a no fuss no muss, get your food and go kinda place. Sometimes, though, like once every three visits or so, you notice something amiss but not so major that you raise a huge stink over.
The last time I got their spicy popcorn chicken big box, I received such a small portion that I pulled over on my way home and looked up video reviews (using mobile data, gasp!) to see if this was a normal "double portion" as the website and menu say. I chose to let it go because there was already a line to get back, but when I visited another Jack and ordered the same thing, I received at least 1.6 times the portion I had received at this location.
One time, I noticed the employees who were in the serving area kept taking off their masks to talk to each other and other times fidgeting with their unmasked face a lot with their gloved hands and one guy not covering his nose properly. I get it, it's damned uncomfortable and you move a lot, it shifts. Still, I couldn't bear to come back for a week or two because this was during a pretty heavy COVID spike in the SB County area.
Yet other times when I walked in to pick up my order instead of using the drive through, the staff noticed me 70% of the time and addressed me in a reasonable amount of time. Good folk too.
So most days this place is 3-4 stars, some days it's 5 and other days it's 1 - I chose to average it out to a simple 3 star rating because at the end of the day, this place is MOSTLY dependable. Mostly. Still, MUCH better customer service than the...
Read moreThis was actually one of the better Jack in the Box restaurant I've been to. I do love their chicken sandwich on sour dough bread. Actually thinking about it now is making me want to go get another one... I'm not sure but I think these restaurant are franchise and if they are the owner of this one must actually take the time to read what others right about their experience at his place of business. Any owner that does take the time to be concerned about what his customers think about his place is something rare these days. It would be nice to see those prices come down some but it's not just jack in the box it's all restaurants. Not really the owners fault it's simply a reflection of what's going on in our nation's economy. So no harm no foul. I'm a firm believer in u get what u pay for and as far as this place goes I don't mind paying a few dollars more for a well made sandwich and oreo shake in my case. So thanks Jack gotta good restaurant, with good employees and great menu that certainly has out shined it's competitors as far as I'm concerned. Love the spicy chicken on...
Read moreI just left this Jack In The Box and unfortunately i witnessed an employee using her bare hands to grab old & cold french fries to throw them back into the fryer AND she intended to serve them to me! That is gross! And isn't it a health violation? I'm shocked because i have always preferred the JITB to all others. It sucks because although I said something to the manager & didn't accept the germ-infected, refried old french fries...someone else probably got them for their dinner and now I can't go there any longer. The manager saw the employee just as i did but didn't say a word until i did. This can only mean he expects the employees to use their bare hands on the food and serve old...
