So we used the app to order curbside pick up. We wanted to try something new but do not have the luxury of going into a business for pick up right now, and we saw the sign that said "curbside". Downloaded the app and ordered my coffee. There were 4 items and I received a notice letting me know it'll be an extra 10 minutes wait. No problem. I didn't mind. We made the order and waited ten minutes before going up to the front where it said curbside. There were a few people sitting and enjoying their drinks so I parked a a spot down from the main sign so I wouldn't be interrupting what looked like a date. In the app, I was asked to provide the info on my car so I did. When we arrived, I called to let them know, per the instructions. The person who answered was busy, understandably. I let her know I made an order on the app and just wanted to let them know I was there when it was ready. I heard her tell someone "they JUST ordered". My phone was on speaker and my family thought the person had an attitude but I gave her some slack since they were so busy. We waited another twenty minutes and I saw a person come out, look around and start to leave. I made eye contact but didn't want to be pushy. I thought she saw the recognition that I was waiting for the order. She turned abruptly and started to leave. We flagged her down and she approached the car and said "you didn't put that it was curbside and you didn't put your car description". I let her know that we did but she already walked away.
I honestly don't know why I bothered to tip them. I won't come back. The coffee was ok and it is convenient to my home, but I don't need to be treated like that over a cup of coffee. Two of the four drinks were deemed pretty good, but two of the drinks were gross according to those who tried them. Everyone has preferred tastes, so that's ok. The biggest problem was the attitude. We all work in customer service and we tend to be lenient with fellow customer service people, but come on... There's enough to deal with in this world right now, why contribute to...
Read moreI want to preface this review by saying the quality of coffee and food is great. I have usually had great quick experiences at this specific location. My last visit on September 14th, 2024 was by far not a great experience. I will acknowledge that it was a busy time and everyone was working diligently. I ordered a cold brew coffee and turkey club at 10:38 AM. Medley took my order and was great. I sat and wait for my order. I thought I had heard my name pretty quickly so I went up and asked if my name had been called to a gentleman making the drinks. He looked at the iPad they use for orders and assured me my drink order was a ways away. So I sat back down and waited. Heard my name for my sandwich and had also asked a now different gentleman if my drink was also ready. He also assured me it was still in line and not yet ready. I didn’t question it as it was busy. But I now had time to eat my sandwich (which was ordered to go) and still no drink. It was 11:10AM when I decided to ask again about my iced cold brew with half and half. Both gentleman looked stunned as they didn’t see my order. Medley came up and graciously told them it had been ready a while ago. When they both realized that it was a cold brew. The response was “Oh, that’s why!” I told Medley that I asked twice and both said no drink yet. She apologized and got me my drink. I’m more upset that they both chose to not acknowledge their mistake and apologize for having me wait much longer than necessary. Please work with the staff to ask proper questions when a customer asks about their order instead of clearly lying. I understand that people get annoying, but I waited patiently and had I been more direct and may I say even rude I wouldn’t have waited 30 minutes to get...
Read moreMy second review of the Klatch, the first was nearly a year ago. I Had to get this review off today after two days sipping my own fresh ground Esmeralda Leon Panama Geisha from this years harvest and roasting, check the score: 96 points, well earned. My current experience is as I remember my first cup of this Medium light roast Geisha from Hacienda Esmeralda farm. It provides the flavor, aroma and aftertaste of coffee that every other cup of coffee should live up to. It's THE coffee, full flavored and yet mild, no bitterness, no bite, enjoyable in every respect. My first taste was so amazing (and it still is today) it reminded me of a 25th anniversary uncorking of a Mondavi/Rothchild Opus One Cabernet at $200 a bottle at the Stagecoach Inn a few years ago. Every nuance of flavors in that cup, the aroma, the aftertaste that lasted a minute, was luscious, a symphony of flavors, and all good. This coffee is that good. It's for celebrations and best friends. All the other coffees at the Klatch score high, most in the 90's whenever there's a cupping for Coffee Review. They're all enjoyable. Never any under-ripe beans picked too early (sour) roasted too long (bitter) like you find every day at the pervasive chain that starts with "S", that makes extra cash because mixtures that include unripe beans are cheaper, and scorched beans are undrinkable unless $lathered with price-hiking mocha-sugar-half-and-half-caramel-hazelnut etc additives. The Klatch has flavors too, but since they start with honestly the best stand alone coffees, additions you like just make every cup that much better. So there. I dare you to try the Esmeralda Leon Panama Geisha Auction Lot/96 Points before its gone until the next...
