Came here for a brunch and it was busy and there was approximately a 10 minute wait. The food was good, though nowhere near extraordinary. When you order a coffee, they give you the tiniest cup, but I will say that they did combine a refill twice which is very nice.
The main issue is the blonde woman who took our orders, she seemed rushed and impersonal. And when we were still eating she dropped off the check without asking if we needed anything else. She then came by 2 minutes later and looked at the side of my plate craning her neck down and asked if I had a card ready. But that's not all. After she took my card and returned it she returned twice within 5 minutes badgering me to see if I had signed it. I understand it is a small restaurant that will hold no more than 42 people. However, badgering people rudely in this manner is unprofessional at best and rude and inconsiderate at worst.
Separately the music here was loud. Enough that you had to raise your voice loudly to be heard. This is extremely unnecessary and given the persistence of the waiting staff to try to get you out of the restaurant, it makes me wonder if this is just a measure they take to make it somewhat unpleasant so you will leave.
Because of the way that they treat their customers, I will not be returning to this location and cannot give it any kind of good recommendation. Customer service is a key feature of any restaurant and this type of behavior is simply not acceptable.
But to end on a positive note I will state that the food was tasty and hot, and we did not have to wait long for our order to arrive. I hope the establishment makes some changes to their service training protocols and lowers the music to a tolerable level because this place has potential. But I am not inclined to give them a second chance. Your...
Read moreNew restaurant open for dining in or take out in Pinon Hills located on Hwy 138 where the old "La Casita" was originally. Very rustic, Western themed decor highlights your dine in experience. The waitresses are very friendly and wear a smile as they address you to take your dine in order at the table side. Very friendly ladies and it's heartwarming to see such friendly, happy and warm employees for once and at this restaurant. My husband & I even had the nice opportunity in speaking with the one owner before she left for the afternoon. Was incredibly sweet, warm, enjoyed the conversation and felt like one of the family with her. The food was very reasonably priced for the lunch we had. Both my husbands meal as well as mine was hot upon arrival to our table and was not only tasty, but was also worth stopping in for a meal. The menu items are based upon breakfast and lunch only at this time. The menu was full of comfort foods and comfort meals in a wide variety of choices. There is a cantina (bar that serves alcoholic beverages just opposite of the dining room area and we're also decorated in a Western Themed Decor and was large in size, I'm assuming for either dancing or for live music from local bands in the evening/night hours. All in all, it was a very nice dining experience yesterday afternoon and my husband & I plan to return to taste some of the breakfast items that looked to be delicious from their menu. Stopping for lunch was a nice start to our afternoon full of errands and grocery shopping. 8 encourage folks to stop in for breakfast or lunch and know you will not be disappointed with...
Read moreWent to lunch with my husband on Wed. 4/17/24. Read wonderful reviews about the restaurant so we wanted to try it out especially since it's so close to our home. The employees are FANTASTIC! You are greeted with a smile from every employee working! They are friendly and happy to serve their new customers! What a PLUS that is! The menu is full of great breakfasts and lunches. The prices are comparable and won't break your wallet for the meals they serve. Portions are good and enough (at least for me...) and the items taste real yummy! It was a delightful first experience for us and intend on returning again for their breakfasts. I highly recommend having a delightful experience at The Rodeo Cafe at first opportunity. The dining area is large and the decor is Western Themed with many John Wayne memorabilia. The cantina/bar is located opposite the dining room also decorated in a Western Themed Decor. I was told the hours are 7pm to 3am for the cantina/bar from the restaurant owner herself. (She too is a friendly and delightful person we had a lovely conversation with.) We recommend the "New Restaurant" Rodeo Café real soon. You will not be...
