Senor Baja (Foothill & Vineyard) — Restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga

Senor Baja has always been my go-to for fish tacos when I’m in the IE. Their fish is always fried perfectly and has a nice little crunch to it. Not to mention their Baja sauce is the best! I always get extra sides for my tacos.

My family and I went for lunch on a Friday afternoon and the place was empty. They have ample seating for customers which is nice.

I got one fish taco and one chicken taco with an horchata for my drink. My husband ordered two fish tacos for himself. He’s never been to Senor Baja before and he said he liked the food! Now I will say that their tacos are a lot bigger than I remember and they use a different taco compared to their past. But overall the food is still delicious!

I have no complaints other than the price skyrocketing. It’s $4.50 per taco now! A bit pricey, but at least you get a decent sized taco for that price. Still a great place if you’re looking for some...

I really wanted to love this place. The food looks amazing at first glance, but on your second bite, you realize it ain't as good as it seems.

I ordered the carne asada nachos (which were the best thing we ate), regular fish tacos, and asada tacos.

The nachos were good, and carne asada taco was decent, obviously not comparable to LA street tacos. But, the most disappointing thing was the Famous Fish Tacos. They were very oily, and the batter was 3 times the amount of fish. Honestly, they could increase their profit margin by charging the same and using a 1to1 fish to batter ratio, and it would be a way better taco.

We decided to try Senor Baja based on an Instagram post about this place. We ordered 10 tacos which included their signature Ensenada style fish taco and the carne asada. We also ordered their chips and salsa. All in cost us about 60 bucks. Each taco hovers around $4.50 on up. A little pricey but portions were good and food tasted great! The fish taco was very flavorful and batter was on point. Order came out with the wrong size chips and salsa that was 7 bucks, but after asking about it, they provided the right size.
