Was pleasantly surprised last night. Wanted to try something different but reasonable in the upscale Italian category that was close to home. From the first bite to the last this far exceeded expectations. The ciabatta and olive oil was excellent. The quality of the olive oil they put on the table was immediately noted as a good sign. We shared an eggplant rollatini appetizer and they brought it out already split and beautifully presented. It was the best we have had in a very long time and look forward to having again. The appetizer portion is a great lunch main size (2 big rollatini). We also had Chicken Verona (eggplant , roasted pepper and goat cheese) with veggies and mashed potatoes and Chicken Parm with linguine. They were both good sized portions and absolutely delicious. Service was excellent and prices were extremely reasonable 24-25 per entrees and it was 12-13 for the appetizer. Definitely plan to go back and if the expected consistency is there given a packed house on a Thursday night, it will be a staple for a nice Italian meal. Thank you Verona for a delightful evening!

A great first visit, will definitely be back. Beet and goat cheese salad was perfect. The Fusilli Calabrese was excellent. Service was very attentive and well paced. We did not feel rushed during our 6pm reservation. BYOB. Many visits later and this is still the best Italian food within an hours drive. Food is always good with great selection. Pasta is always perfect. Finally enjoyed the bread pudding. Coffee, espresso hot. Service is consistently exceptional.

It was very good. Also very expensive. I think my husband and I were the youngest there by 20 years. BYOB. I was very tight quarters but it was also Valentine's Day. The food was amazing as well as the desert. The waiter was ok but the second guy always made sure our water was filled and our table was cleared. Would only go again for VERY special occasions.

We've been going to Verona for years now and this place has some of the best & consistent Italian food around...

Unfortunately the staff ruins the experience.

The staff is also consistent - unfriendly and almost rude. Not a smile, hello, welcome, good evening, or thank you...they sit you at your table and then you wait for the same rude waiter (you know who I am talking about if you've been there) that's been there for years - or any of the other staff actually - ask you, "what'll you have?" Again, no welcome, hello, etc. I even asked "aren't you going to mention the specials?" and his rely was a stern "they're in the menu" without making even eye contact.

Someone needs to teach the staff that being polite, friendly and courteous (or even just a smile/hello) is just as important as serving good food. The food is very good, the service is so unfriendly that when we talk about going we ask each other is it really worth it. The answer is becoming a NO with each...

We are long time customers and had a truly awful experience at Verona on Saturday, August 5th. We had a reservation for 6 people at 6 PM, with out of town guests who we wished to impress at what HAD been a favorite restaurant. Our orders were placed quickly, and appetizers took over 30 minutes to arrive. Over an hour later, we had to ask about our main meal (7:30 by now) and they finally came out only after we inquired about the wait. Many other diners arrived after us and left long before our meals were served. The place was over half empty by then.

I called the manager today to express my disappointment and received inadequate excuses about a busy Saturday night, which really was not the case. We've been there other times that were much more hectic and never received such abysmal service.

There are many dining choices in the area and that will absolutely be our last visit,...
