Coming back from fishing I had an urge for some veggie pizza. Well I just moved to the area and was told i should try Lynwood’s for the bar pizza. What a better time than now? I called in my order and was told its cash only. No problem. However the veggie only came with peppers, mushroom, and onions. I’m used to a loaded selection but that was ok as this selection still sounded wonderful.
Was given a 30 minute wait time which gave me time to go hit the atm buy some beverages and head on over where my pie was ready for me.
They were to close soon so the place wasn’t packed, but there was still some locals hanging around enjoying a pie and watching the ball game.
I found plenty of parking, and I was greeted by a very nice kind lady who took my name grabbed my order and offered me napkins.
As I took the pie home i was pleased with the appearance. Satisfied with the price compared to the size of the pizza.
I’m more of a brick oven type of guy but this wasn’t bad at all as this dish hit all the right notes & was even better the next morning. I’d definitely will be back to try another selection from the menu & hope for the same results.
Definitely an 8/10 and I recommend to stop by and...
Read moreGreat bar pizza, maybe even a 5, def worth a visit if you love bar pizza and/or are in the area. I love bar pizza, and was in the area. It's been on my list to visit for ages. Ordered the cheese with diced peppers. Crust is pretty typical for bar style, thin and flaky like a biscuit, but not like a cracker like other bar pizza, more substantial. The pizza came out piping hot, healthy layer of cheese grease on top. We split one pie for two people with no pizza left behind, so expect to order more than one if y'all are hungry. The waitstaff were super kind and attentive. Note- they are Cash only but have a random ATM in the place. Like I said, I love bar pizza and this place is notorious and a classic. The prices are incredible, esp for drinks. I swear she missed a zero. Could grab a pizza and couple beers for a twenty! That's unheard of in the city. Or.... Anywhere I usually go. The ambiance is townie, no frills, but friendly. Only thing I'd have wanted is a saltier cheese or seasoning the veggies, maybe having some more veggie topping options. But actually, they do their own thing over there and do it really consistently. I hope this place...
Read moreHonestly I heard so many great reviews about this place I decided to go with my girlfriend. Long story short, we didn’t even get to try the pizza because the service was so terrible. When we first arrived there was only a couple individuals eating. Everything was fine at first until a party came, it got a little busy and the waiter got caught up tending to them (which we understood) mind you we arrived 10 minutes prior to the party and our order still wasn’t taken. We gave them 20 minutes to take our order before deciding to leave. During that 20 minutes two separate couples arrived to the restaurant and were tended to right away. While we were waiting, our waiter made direct eye contact with us and checked on each table at least 2-3 times and somehow they kept looking and walking away from us. I don’t know what the issue was, we came in with great attitudes and high hopes. It was just very disappointing on how they treated us and put priority over other people that arrived 10-15 AFTER us. From now on out we’re going to stick to town spa pizza, they at least have great pizza with amazing hospitality...
