I was excited to find a place that delivers out where we live. We had thought all hope of that was lost when we moved out "to the country", haha. I had placed a delivery order on a Friday night at 5:45pm. The guy I spoke to on the phone was very nice. Unfortunately, at some point while my husband and I were waiting for the food to arrive, there seems to have been a mix up. I received a call from the Pizzeria an hour and half later that I had called and said we were going to come in and pick up our food instead of wanting it delivered. I thought this was very strange as my phone's call long did not show any such call...just the outgoing call at 5:45pm and the incoming call at 7:30pm from the Pizzeria. I assured him we did want it delivered.
Then I became concerned that perhaps our order got mixed up with another customer's and called back to make sure that didn't happen, and that some poor soul wasn't going to arrive and find that THEIR food was missing! The same gentleman answered the phone...I was trying to get this cleared up with him, but he was becoming rude with me on the phone and eventually hung up on me.
We did get the food delivered to us eventually, but it seemed to be by one of the cooks, or at least someone with a cook's apron on (maybe that's normal, I'm not sure), and it had obviously been sitting out for a while. I'm not sure what happened over there, but I would be hesitant to order delivery...
Read moreMy wife and I stumbled upon this pizzeria after a long day of hiking at Harrington Beach State park. The reviews were good so we decided to give it a shot. First impressions, it was cozy and inviting atmosphere with an fun mixture of tribal meets hometown decor. It's clearly a place where many people enjoy going with the kids artwork on the walls and the many hand prints of happy visitors. We were quickly greeted by a friendly gentlemen, who we assume is the owner. He seemed genuine and friendly without the usual restaurant mantra that many corporate chains push. The menus are simple but have plenty of options. We split a cheese ring before our pizza which was delicious! I got a landmark pizza which could be considered a "deluxe" pie and my wife got a gyro pizza. Both were incredible. In fact, I believe its the best pizza I've had since moving to Wisconsin. Neither of us finished our pizzas to we took it to go and when he brought us our check, he also brought us a bowl of their homemade "nice cream" as they call it to try on the house. It was really good! We would have both gotten more if we had room for it. We really enjoyed our experience here. It was really refreshing to eat at a hometown establishment when were used to the hustle of the Milwaukee area. Next time were up in the Random Lake area, we will definitely be...
Read moreRandom Lake Pizzeria is not just an eatery. It is a dining experience!
First of all, they have the greatest beers on tap that they rotate often so you can always try something different every time you visit.
Second, the atmosphere is fantastic. The owner is visible, welcoming, and just in general a nice guy. They often have live music playing. My wife and I have been there for some bluegrass bands that have been so fun to listen to and very talented.
Third, and most importantly, the food is consistently top notch. Their appetizers are on point! The jalapeño poppers are the best I've ever had and the cheese ring is making my mouth water just thinking about it! The specialty pizza choices are endless and all amazing in flavor. My favorite is the philly cheese steak pizza. However, the Tommy's special, muskie, which is a very awesome Big Mac pizza, the landmark, the Reggie White, the T and T, and chicken BBQ are also solid options. They make a point to make their pizzas with food that was grown or obtained locally, which is always awesome! Their make your own pizzas are filled with any option you could think of. Last to top it all off they make homemade ice cream and waffle cones that will top off your already amazing dining experience!
Five stars no question!!!! You need to visit Random Lake...
