We search for “the best pizza” in whatever city we are in Piesano’s came up as #1 so we decided to try it. It was about 5:30pm on Saturday, the place was packed and smelled delicious. The waitress acknowledged us and had to clean the one empty table, no problem. We sat with our menus for a bit but again no problem. There were two waitresses one with dark hair in a bun (our waitress) and another with a brown ponytail (not ours). The place was insanely busy with takeout orders. That’s a good sign. From our table I could see the pass-through window and to go orders were flying. Finally I see a pizza on the stand for dine-in set in the window at this point I’m hopeful as it had been about 45 minutes since we ordered. Figured that was about right as they were busy. Both waitresses were running around very busy. The pizza in the window sat and sat. Finally brown ponytail looked at the ticket and tossed it back and walked away. Obviously not for her table. Our waitress was answering the phone and handing out takeout orders, very busy. Finally our waitress came up for air and delivered our pizza. It was warm and edible but not what I would rate as #1 in Rapid City. I’ve worked in food service and getting hot food to the table was always a priority it’s a team effort at least in my day. Brown ponytail looks out for herself, at least that is the...

The food here is okay, not necessarily something to write home about. We went here when we 1st moved to RC. When we entered the restaurant, the only waitress was at a table speaking in depth to what must have been "regulars." I mean, don't get me wrong, I appreciate customers that frequent local eateries and that their patronage keeps business booming, but don't neglect future repeated business by placing more value on the regular! Meaning this woman flat ignored us for a hot minute, and when she finally deemed to honor us with her attention made it very apparent that we were an inconvenience. This was her behavior throughout our dining experience. You would have thought that we would not have chosen to revisit the establishment, but going against better judgment decided to give it another go. Same exact woman, same exact experience. Again, the food was "okay." I have paid for mediocre meals in the past and enjoyed the dining experience because the service was memorable. However, bad service + mediocre eats = no repeat business. Not sure if this woman is the owner or just a waitress, but whoever you are ma'am, I would recommend brushing up on your...

Ordered a pizza last night for delivery at 7:15, was told it'd be about an hour. 8:24 rolls around and I call to see where the pizza was, told it was out with the delivery driver. 8:49 and still no pizza so I call again and am met with total indifference, seemingly they were unconcerned that the pizza had been riding around in a car for almost a half hour. I was told it was in a heated box within the delivery car. 8:57 still no pizza so I called to ask them if they were still going to charge me full price for a probably cold pizza. I was told yes, of course it will be full price. I told them I no longer needed the pizza. I was totally disgusted. A few minutes later the doorbell rings, cold pizza was delivered. I paid for it, full price. I called Piesano's again and was a woman who identified herself as Lori (who I guess is the owner judging from reading other reviews here! The owner!) had little sympathy for our experience. I wasn't expecting a free pizza, just a hot pizza - and one that didn't take almost 2 hours to be delivered. All I can say to Piesano's at this point is Ciao! Won't be ordering from...

This is a small place that looks like a cute old Italian eatery. It smelled amazing when we walked in. We had spaghetti with sausage, a side salad with house Italian, a calzone and lemon cake for lunch. Had zero complaints about the food. Every bite was delicious. My only complaint was the music. It would have been absolutely perfect if it had been Italian instead of pop/rock. There is NOTHING like some Dino and Sinatra to round out a good meal. But, since everything else, including the service, was so great, I cannot give less than 5 stars. Will definitely be going back to Piesano's Pacchia.

We are on vacation to see the Black Hills and love to choose local restaurants to support on our trips. This pizza place is a quaint little place and the food is fantastic. When we got there, the place was packed. The server who set us asked for forgiveness because they were so busy and had gotten a little behind. We were in no hurry and it was worth the wait! The food was amazing. We ordered a Small Stacey’s Special and it was the best pizza I have eaten in a long time. The crust was a typical crust but was crispy on the bottom which is my fav! Ten outta ten definitely recommend!

Love this place! Definitely my favorite place in Rapid for pizza! Gluten free 10" crust is available. The atmosphere is cozy and home-y. Service is very friendly. The pizza checks all the boxes in my book-- herby, saucy, cheesy, and the crust is really good. They also have pastas, salads, sandwiches, and other options. Pricing (for pizza, at least) isn't inexpensive, but you really do get what you pay for. It can take a little bit for the pizza to get done but it's worth it. This is a local restaurant and very much deserves the support. I highly recommend! 👍👍
