Need word for the day: poutine. Fries, creamy cheese curds and silken beef gravy. Think prime rib condensed to a lovely sauce poured over just crisp fries. I had the pizza panini with salad and hubby had the fried oysters with salad. The panini was warmed, melty and just the right size for dinner. Salad was mixed greens with diced red tomatoes. If I could add anything, it would be to add cucumbers or other veggies to the salad. Hubby only had one word for the large, breaded oysters: mmm mmm. For him it was seasoned perfectly, the coating light and the oysters were hot and fork-tender.
It is a new food destination in Raymond with a selection of brew and mead. Next visit I'm going for the raspberry mead. PS. The owner gave me a tasting before we left. If you are not a beer person, the fermented honey mead with a whisper of raspberry is for you.
The restaurant is large with huge screen (football season) tv, band set up and simple brewery decor.
The menu will expand as the community discovers this new eatery.
Now. I would love a chocolate torte with French vanilla ice...
Read moreWe swung into town hungry, but with a dog that couldn't be left in the car due to the heat. They have two person tables outside and she allowed us to out two tables together for 3 people, let us bring our pup and even provided a bucket of water for her. That alone made us happy. We ordered the onion rings, prime rib dip with cheesy bacon fries and cheeseburger with tots. The onion rings were amazing. Fresh and beer flavored as they are beer battered. The rib dip was super tasty and had an herby rosemary flavor. The fries were my absolute favorite. So cheesy and bacony and satisfying. My husband said the beer was good. Our son said the housemade rootbeer was good too. Definitely a great meal and service was...
Read moreThis was my first time here and I will never go back. Met a friend there to grab a drink and pick up dinner for our families. The 2 drinks I sampled were awful. After getting home and sitting down to eat with my toddler I opened up her grilled cheese and it was black burnt as can be both sides, the cheese...what cheese there was one little sliver that was hard and burnt, her cheesy Tator tots were not only over fried and greasy the cheese sauce was gross. The motzarella sticks were okay. And was told the deep fried oysters were good. I called to let them know about her meal and they said they would refund the meal or we could pick something else. Definitely not worth the...
