Ginger's Restaurant — Restaurant in Raytown

EDIT: I am editing my comment per the restaurant's response- the comment that owner left speaks volumes about who is running the establishment. I waited patiently, over an hour without complaining. I watched people come in after me be greeted, place orders, recieve their food, and leave, not once did I complain or be rude to anyone. When I left, the lady working the register apologized to me for my experience- she acknowledged that they were having issues. Yet, you say you are opting out of phone and online orders thanks to people like me. Do you mean people like me who expect decent service? Then so be it. Do what you need to do to adjust your business so that you can provide great service. But don't call people abusive for no reason and don't accuse people of not waiting their turn when they stood for over an hour. I waited in line with three other peole and we all had the same sentiments. The guy before me had been waiting an hour and 45 minutes for his order and when I left he still hadn't received it. None of us were rude to any of you, when technically we should have received our orders for free. If you did experience a rude customer, it was not when I was present. Lol, your comments are hilarious....the audacity. ORIGINAL COMMENT:It's a shame. Raytown doesn't have enough good eatery spots and this place should be a gem. Food here is excellent, and the employees are very friendly. Unfortunately overall service here is very poor. Attempted to dine in for lunch during the week and found out they were closed- although their hours stated they should have been opened. On the weekend I placed an online to-go order. Arrived to pick it up, waited and waited. Everything was disorganized at the front. People who were waiting had not been greeted nor assisted. Those who came in after those individuals were helped promptly. To-go orders were taking up to two hours. People who were dining in were able to be served and complete their entire dining experience before folks who were waiting on to-go orders ever...

I'm not really sure what happened to this place. I frequent Kansas City often and came across this restaurant just a few months ago. Probably the best breakfast steak burrito to ever touch my lips. Great service. Everything worthy of a five star review. Today not so much. Waited over 40 minutes for my food. Only five other tables were there. Plenty of staff. Servers who just stood at the kitchen window talking. The guests next to me randomly stood up talking about how disgusting something was. Didn't catch the entire convo but they walked out without even touching their food. Whole table of plates and not one bite taken. Put me on edge. Staff didn't even offer an apology for whatever happened, just said 'Since you didn't eat anything I guess we won't charge you.' I got my burrito and it was pretty embarrassing compared to the one I had before. It was like an egg patty and you could tell the steak was precooked and reheated. Very chewy. Not even warm. I was confused on how it took 40 minutes to prepare pre-prepared food. Hash browns were tasteless and had a very strange texture. Found hair on the plate. Everything was gross. I just paid and left quietly without eating....

Moved to the neighborhood several months ago and as a brunch resturant connoisseur, I've put off trying this little resturant for too long. I went ahead and tried a Bacon Breakfast Burrito, and asked to add Chorizo and Pico as well as one of their beef tacos to try. The burrito, as you can see, was enormous. I have quite a large appetite and only finished half! The chorizo had a lot of flavor and the burrito was neatly rolled in a good quality tortilla.

The taco was pretty good too for being mostly a brunch place. I'd like to try more of the mexican cuisine on the menu.

The service was a little slow, and a lot of tables were sitting dirty until they absolutely had to clean them, which could be remedied with an additional waiter on staff. I also ordered the homefries and instead got cubed hashbrowns, which I assume means they ran out. Those are the only knocks I'll give it.

Happy to add another great brunch location to my list of options on...
