Morgana's Gluten Free Bakery — Restaurant in Raytown

Wonderful, locally owned GF bakery! The store is clean & cute! I’ve had GF/DF cookies, cupcakes, cake, chocolate covered strawberries and the cinnamon rolls and all have been very satisfying & good tasting! The website clearly states the 6 flavors of cupcakes that are always available in the store, and otherwise items change wkly. The store is only open 3 days a week. She takes orders at just 2-3 wks out. Morgana is wonderful to work with & has great customer service. She has fabulous decorating skills for cakes too! Check out the gallery of pictures on the website! She is extremely knowledgeable in baking for allergy needs. All GF items are costly compared to non-GF; that’s everywhere! gluten free flours & ingredients utilized cost more. Her cupcake and cake prices are very comparable to other GF bakeries in the KC metro.

No one knew my wedding cake was gluten free! As a gluten free bride, I wanted to make sure I could enjoy my own wedding cake, not a special-only-for-me sweet at the end of the night, my actual wedding cake. It turned out even more beautiful than I imagined! Service was another level; Morgana came to the venue and iced the cake on the serving table to make sure it was perfect and not damaged in transit. And it was so delicious! The fact that she is a local baker where I live near Kansas City means I can order a smaller version of my wedding cake for each anniversary and that makes me so happy! Also, I am specifically addicted to her cupcakes, croissants, and focaccia bread. It's dangerous to my waistline to walk into her bakery. Lol! They are primarily an online 'order ahead with scheduled pick-up' sort of place. I had a little trouble with the ordering/scheduling process, but we got it worked out. I had ordered dinner rolls and was extremely happy with them. Dunked in my soup, I could not tell they were gluten-free ! Warmed up, they would be even better! We also ordered a couple of cupcakes. Very good! Their carrot cake has raisins, which is not my preference, but still yummy. The chocolate was excellent! When we picked up our order, they had several other things available, so I got a chocolate covered yeast donut. Lovely! It almost seemed like the dinner rolls were sweeter, however.
