Mi Ranchitoo Taqueria — Restaurant in Red Oak

I leave this review in hopes that it makes the place better.

I came on a Sunday 11am trip to find a nice sit down restaurant with good Mexican food where I can be a regular and bring family that comes and visits.

I got the barbacoa torta with an horchata.

Positives: food was great! Fries were fresh and crunchy. All food was fresh! The torta was amazing!! Good touch on giving me some jalapeños on my plate. The salsas on the table weren’t too spicy. good menu options. -Good location -plenty of parking -nice Hispanic decor -Mexican music was good -price was okay. Not terrible. Food made up for it for sure.

Reccomendations: Hire a server. I came in and the tables were dirty. At first glance, it made me want to leave but I really wanted to try the food. This restaurant has the chance to be the only Mexican restaurant in red oak with service to the table.

Install a working TV or at least have the TV on. This would help the atmospheres. If I was distracted with a TV I may not even have time to write this review lol. Keep trash bins out of the customer view. Check on tables more Often (see #1. Hire server)

I intend to come back and see if the place has improved. I hope it does and I hope my review does more good than damage. I plan to revise my review when i come on my second visit because I want this...

I've been to many of the red oak Mexican restaurants, and they're just decent. Having gone to this one after everything else was packed I was not disappointed. First of all everything to me seemed very fresh. The way the meat was prepared with no fat in it and chopped so nicely inside the torta is what really did it for me. Lots of places have fajita meat that's just gray and nasty or very chewy. You can tell this meat was prepared fresh. I would highly recommend anyone wanted Mexican food that's actually good in red oak. Please show this place some love. Prices are good too!! Paid $30 for me and...

I just placed an order for takeout. Firstly, they don’t answer the phones the first time so you’re gonna have to try to call them at least six times to get a hold of somebody. The food wasn’t too bad queso was pretty watery and they forgot the fries with my torta that they asked me if I wanted but never gave them to me. Almost gave me the wrong drink until I asked what it was. And now that I’m calling about the fries they forgot, they won’t answer the phone.
