Currents Restaurant — Restaurant in Red Wing

You are reviewing a family restaurant in a hotel, not a Michelin star experience people, nothing to get snooty about, this is a decent hotel option. We were staying at the hotel and ended up eating here 3 times. Plenty of variety for a group and you can have breakfast all day. We had different servers each visit and all three were super nice, patient and accommodating. We had some food allergies and sensitivities in our group and they answered all our questions, or if they didn't know the answer, they went to find out.

Buffalo wings were really good if you like a kick and plenty of delicious sauce. They also let you get a baked potato as a side, which I appreciate.

They also have 4 new menu items that are Thai inspired, all of them looked good. I had the Asian salad my last day and the peanut dressing was good.

Everyone in the group enjoyed their meals, and the portions were plenty big. We ended up needing boxes each meal.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE "UNCOOKED CHICKEN" I went to have dinner with my family there, they brought us drinks and when we wanted to order they told us that they no longer had a certain part of the menu available because they were going to close, we opted to order chicken sandwiches and beef burgers . We ordered the burgers well cooked, and they arrived still red in the center, and the chicken was raw. We called the supervisor and she said that there was nothing she could do but to remove the sandwich that came out raw from my bill and that she would send an email to the kitchen manager because they were different from the restaurant, and that they had another supervisor. My family and I ate breakfast at Currents 1/1/24 around 9:30am. Paid with comps and left tip. We both got calls from security in the afternoon accusing us of not paying. We asked for the check right away to pay. My significant other paid the bill and was going back and forth waiting on our coffee/smoothie drinks at the connecting snack place so we could hurry up, eat, and head out. The waitress asked if we paid while eyeing the receipt and I said yes. Ridiculous that they couldn’t look up the payment before accusing. Somehow they could figure out who we were, call us, and try and charge us a second time. All that energy could have been spent looking at their records. Will not eat there again. Embarrassing and we would like an apology. We’ve both sent complaints in and are waiting...
