I have braved the city of Atlanta for years to find a good Chinese food restaurant that could rival that of what I used to get back home. This has been the second place that really has it down with serving really good Chinese cuisine.
First upon arrival I noticed that the line was nearly out the door. I arrived on a Saturday night about 815pm. There is a touchdown wings next door a Marco pizza and other places around that was still open so there is plenty of options in the area. Second thing I noticed there was deliver drivers (Uber and door dash) coming in and out with orders. Obviously people are doing take out with this place so it also came as a good sign for me. Usually when I try a new place I keep it very simple just incase I donāt like it. I didnāt spend too much and I got what was expected. I ordered the 5 piece whole wing with pork fried rice ($12.99) and a fruit punch ($2.39). I also order for other family members but Iāll just discuss my meal. 15 minutes later my food is ready. Hot and fresh.
The portions were awesome! I had 5 large jumbo wings. I was really surprised and a full plate of rice. Iāll start with the wings, they were very delicious but they were a little under seasoned. It could have used a little more Lawrys or something but this was way better than having over seasoned wings which could have been unbearable to eat and a waste. Even with that being said I would easily order than again and just sprinkle a minuscule amount of seasoning if my choice. Fried to a delicious golden crispy I had no other complaints.
The rice was cooked evenly and I had no complaints with the rice. It also came with an egg roll an I noticed inside of the egg roll bag contained a napkin. This small gesture really struck a cord wit me as most places you go to they give you and egg roll in a bag, itās sitting in the oil at the bottom of that bag that it was cooked in and becomes a little soggy. Nope that napkin grabbed all the oil. Well thought out action.
The place most with a level of efficiency that most places lack, ordering was fast, easy and my food was packaged with everything I need. (Napkins, straws, spoons, forks).
The restaurant could be a sit in establishment but due to the size and the traffic I wouldnāt. People coming in and out while youāre eating in such close proximity could be a turn off.
Great Job Lucky Panda. Living up to the lucky...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve completed over 5,700 DoorDash deliveries with a spotless record. I take pride in doing my job right ā being respectful to customers and restaurants, taking clear photos of every order, and maintaining professionalism at all times.
Today at Lucky Panda, I was completely disrespected and profiled for no reason. I arrived to pick up an order that I had already been waiting over 15 minutes for. When the food was finally ready, I politely asked the cashier to please remove her hands from the bag so I could take a clear photo of it without her hands covering it. This is something I always do to make sure the picture looks clean and professional, and so customers donāt complain about someoneās hands being all over their food.
Instead of just letting go of the bag, she suddenly refused to hand it over and told me she had to āsee me confirm the order.ā I explained that I would, but I just needed to take the photo clearly ā thatās when she took the order back and placed it on the back shelf, refusing to give it to me at all.
I contacted DoorDash support about the issue, but instead of resolving it, they canceled my order and didnāt pay me the full amount I was owed for the time I waited and the distance I drove.
When I went back inside to calmly explain myself again, the same cashier looked over at the tip jar that was sitting near me ā which I hadnāt even noticed ā grabbed it, and moved it behind the counter like she thought I was going to steal it. That moment told me everything. I knew right then I was being stereotyped and treated like a thief, even though Iāve never stolen food, money, or anything in my life.
Then, to top it off, she shot her hands at me in a dismissive way ā basically like, āYouāre done, go on,ā as if I was some kind of problem. That was completely uncalled for and humiliating.
Iāve dealt with a lot of customers and restaurants, and Iāve never been treated this way anywhere. This was discrimination and profiling, plain and simple. I was calm, polite, and professional, yet I was treated like I didnāt belong there.
DoorDash needs to investigate this restaurant and hold them accountable for how they treat their drivers. We deserve basic respect and professionalism while doing our jobs not judgment, assumptions, or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFood is usually pretty good. Tonight called at 8:35 and was told 20-25 minutes because they were busy. Arrived at 9pm and waited outside in line for over half an hour because other customers kept having to come back because their order wasnāt ready or had been given to them incomplete. Finally got our food at 9:35 (more than double the time quoted) and many people were still waiting for their orders. Usually this place is a solid place to grab dinner when you donāt want to cook or wait forever. I donāt know if it is a staffing issue or just an off night, but the entire experience left me wishing weād ordered from somewhere else.
*Update we have ordered from here three times since my original posting, and two of those times weāve been given incorrect or incomplete orders. Both times this has happened weāve told the person working the door that the order wasnāt right and both times weāve been assured (and lied to) saying the order was correct when it wasnāt. If you ask for a manager you will be told that one isnāt available. This is a very poorly ran business with subpar customer service if you could even go so far as to call it customer service. Save your money and the hassle and go somewhere else. The food is decent, but you would be hard pressed to find a more poorly ran Chinese restaurant in the area. Tonight 3/5/21 is the very last time we will order from Lucky Panda due to the fact that I repeated my order 3x on the phone and had the woman read it back to me yet when my significant other arrived to pick up the food the order was incorrect. When they inquired about the order being incorrect they were told that it was correct. We ordered a Triple Seafood (S13) that is supposed to come with shrimp, lobster meat, and scallops. What we received was some mixed vegetable dish with the only discernible protein being chicken. Three times back in line and a phone call later we are still waiting for them to correct the order nearly an hour after we ordered it and 40 min after we first attempted pick up. This...
