Old School Cool Blue Plate Special change everyday, true old-school our grandparents grew up on. So cool almost 50 year's same owners packing the place with down home great food. Famous for the daily baked bread, biscuits n gravy and breakfast. Named on of metro Detroit Best Breakfast 2019 by WDIV viewers. Long time waitresses Lisa making us feel right at home. Blue Plate Special Meatloaf with Peas n Mashed spot on Wonderful. Wife had a mega Omelette n Taters with Onions n Green Peppers chopped inside. Got a Cheesey Winnie be Hot dog Stuffed with Cheese Wrapped with Bacon Delightful Delicious. Me Country Fried Steak Biscuits n Gravy with Honey I smashed into Butter just a Hillbilly thang enjoying since a kid. Step back into 1970s dining room with really cool double padded bucket seats at the counter. Great location on Grand River just South of 8 Mile. A regular hangout for 3 generation of families, seems waitresses know all the regulars. I was invited to an impromtu dinner, we felt like seeking a great home cooked meal. Remembering the great nostalgia of Canterburys Palace a family owned business in Redford and we were off!

Oh my they are CASH only!

We left to seek cash! We had to return after seeing the specials & menu so excited to see the homemade mashed potatoes with gravy on the menu! Split pea soup!

We had Fish & Chips and substitute the fries for Yes! Mashed Potatoes!

Holly, was out waitress, she is another reason families visit she radiates kindness, customer service, a smile genuine and authentic! We were welcomed and seated by the hostess who was great!

Shortly after we returned with our cash, the place was packed. The Owner/Cooks came by to check on our service.

Great team work! We will return! Our tastebuds were satisfied and belly's full!

Split pea soup was a plus worth getting a togo.

They've raised the pricing so high, no wonder they're not open all day no more, I puked everything up as soon as I left, terrible customer service it's very small not hard to keep up I ordered a ny steak mashed potatoes and beef gravy. I'm about to call dfs on them. I've been here many times they are just going downhill and it sucks to say because they uses to be the spot for cheap breakfast 12$ for a Reuben 4$ addon for fries, so i bought the ny strip thinking that's crazy theyre only a dollar off, will for sure never spending my hard earned money here again, burnt pancakes, even the reviews ive seen burnt toast, terrible no care in...
