We decided to visit on 6/30/24. I'll start out by saying the atmosphere was fun and it was nice and cool as the AC was kicked down pretty low which was refreshing on a 100+ temp day. The live music was really enjoyable and not so loud that you couldn't hold a conversation.
Our waitress was nice however she failed to mention when she gave us the menus that on Sundays they only serve 3 of their burgers and only items off of the brunch menu.
The food was disappointing. There were 3 of us and one had the Polynesian Pub burger which in the description reads that there is a slice of pineapple on it, unfortunately the pineapple was half the size of the burger patty and you didn't get to taste it until you were halfway through the burger. The other 2 of us ordered the Allies Burger which in the description states that there is English Coastal Cheddar and roasted garlic French onion jam on it - there were 3 "chunks" of cheese and a teaspoon of French onion jam on them. I will say that the fries were good though.
All in all, we would have rather sat in a hot restaurant, with bare walls and no music that had great burgers than what we experienced during our visit. Maybe we went on an "off" day, but I know it will be a while before we try it again.
I wish only for the best for our downtown businesses and I hope that Tradewinds will have...
Read moreMy wife and I enjoyed our first experience at Tradewinds pub. It was a pleasant evening out. Nice to have a place here in town so we can have a nice time without driving to Fresno, Clovis or Visalia. The decor is fun, my wife loved it but not really something I personally care about. It was a little noisy but we didn't mind. It is a pub after all. Not great for an intimate evening, but I dont think it is meant to be. The food was delicious and the service was friendly. I had the fish and chips with truffle parm fries, both were crispy and delicious. My wife had the Thai salad which was super fresh and had a little kick of spice that came on late and was a nice surprise. The best part was the drink selection. They have a great variety of cocktails and specialty drinks to match the theme of the restaurant. The bar tenders were knowledgeable and fast. Highly recommend trying...
Read moreThis is a fun place to have a date night. The service was very attentive and the food was delivered quickly and tasted wonderful. We had the fish & chips which was perfectly fried and not heavy. The side of cole slaw was cool & tasty with a slight Thai flavor. The optional rosemary truffle french fries were delicious - fried in mushroom oil with flaky salt a light herb flavor. The pint of house stout was perfect - creamy head with a dark roasted malty flavor. The atmosphere was enjoyable and there was lots to see - decorations as well as people - but it was too loud to have a conversation. We had to raise our voice to be heard by each other, as did everyone else, which only adds the din. Expect to pay $50 to $60 total for you and your date, not including tip which should be generous since the staff does a great job. We'd like to go again, but not to have any romantic...
