This is a great spot for an early breakfast, and you can enjoy a cup of espresso while you’re there. They also sell basic fishing gear and supplies, and in the afternoon, the bar opens—perfect for sipping a cocktail or beer at one of the outdoor deck tables while taking in the beautiful scenery. The staff were friendly, and the clam chowder was excellent. I needed to get some online work done using Wi-Fi, and they kindly allowed me to sit at one of the bar-side tables even though the bar wasn’t officially open in the morning. My husband, myself and our 3 children stayed in Winchester Bay on our family vacation and it was so fun. We visited all of the cafes and shops there but Salmon Harbor Cafe and Mercantile had the best food, fresh baked goods (cinnamon rolls are best I've had in my life), coffee bar that is up to par with every coffee shop, including Starbucks I've been to in CA and the best vibe. We bought the sweatshirts and mugs that come with free drinks, played on the deck and watched the sunset, ate fresh crab, relaxed in the bar...the list goes on.
