This was my second time experiencing Cuban food. I am grateful that La Boca Loca was the purveyor of my second experience. I left their establishment feeling content and satiated.
I ordered the Cubano, which I am told is the most popular item. My unfamiliarity with the culture and menu left me absolutely clueless as what I should request. The gentleman taking my order was quick to recommend this sandwich.
This classic Cuban sub was served with pulled pork, sliced ham, mustard, pickles and a small amount of cheese. A seemingly odd combination for a New Englander. However, I found myself delighted by the crispness of the sub roll, which was still soft in the middle. The pork was savory and not over saturated with sauce. The mustard and pickles really did accentuate the pork in a way that I found pleasant.
As if the sandwich alone didn’t do this establishment justice, the friendliest folks seem to work here. They were easy going, conversational and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. From the quick recommendation to the detailed explanation of their wall decor, it easily left me with a lasting impression that is both favorable and rare in today’s bustling world.

This place is wonderful! The staff were super friendly and helpful when my husband and I visited for the first time. Every single item on the menu sounded so good. My husband got the steak bowl with chimichurri sauce and I got a Colombian empanada and an arepa de choclo (sweet corn cakes). We tried bites of each other's food and literally every single bite was amazing. We also tried the fun drinks they offer. I got a pineapple soda, so good, and my husband got a non-alcoholic malted beverage which he very much enjoyed. Overall, we had one of the best little date nights in a while and enjoyed trying something new. I absolutely recommend this place!
Oh, and when I asked about desserts they said they were making some fresh that would be ready in 10 minutes or so.. so my husband and I just took a quick stroll around downtown Reidsville and came back. I got the pastelito de nutella (Nutella turnover) and OHMYGOD. That thing was so, so good. I enjoyed it with one of their Columbian coffees, the Bom Bon. You absolutely have to give this place a try. You'll be...
