Read moreWe went to our favorite Mexican restaurant in entire USA and to our disappointment it was closed for the holidays. That is the main reason for us to visit Reno. With our craving for Mexican food full on, I decided to search for another Mexican restaurant nearby. Casa Grande popped up with 4.2 stars rating and it was less than 10 mins away. I quickly called to see if they were open and a friendly guy answered "of course we are open." YAY. We drove there still a little disappointed that our favorite restaurant was closed. We walked into Casa Grande, and got a series of really excited warm greeting from the staff. We were "wowed." This was not the typical type of greeting you get at restaurants in America. We scanned through the menu with too many choices and the server kept checking on us while we decided and enjoyed the warm chips and salsa. We told the server we wanted a margarita with a kick and she recommended the halapeno margarita. She brought it in two mason jars and each jar had 3 servings of drinks. The food came sizzling and quickly as well. The portions were GINORMOUS. We devoured our delightful lunch to the last bite. Even though we were overstuffed, we were not going to leave without dessert. We ordered something we never had before and it was heavenly. Thank you Casa Grande for a delightful meal. Cant wait to stop by during our...
Read moreThis was our second time at this location and unfortunately last night (Sat, Dec 21) was the worst service we have ever had at ANY restaurant! The hostess was sweet and seated us promptly, however, our male waiter NEVER even acknowledged us! After trying to make eye contact and get his attention numerous times, it was evident he was purposely ignoring us. Why? There was a large group (12+) next to us that was seated after us that he immediately waited on. My husband, two children and I still waited patiently, but after 20+ minutes watching him serve (and even clean up another table) it was evident he had no intention to serve us. As we were walking out I kindly told the hostess that sadly we were leaving after waiting 20+ minutes because we were not even acknowledged by our waiter, she proceeded to ask where we were seated (by the Christmas tree) and immediately apologized. Interesting enough when she asked where we were seated she looked to her left and our waiter was standing right there! At that moment he had an opportunity to say something (anything!), but he literally stood there staring at the hostess and refused to make eye contact with us! I have never experienced anything like this. Unfortunately, this restaurant has lost our business indefinitely due to the...
