This used to be my absolute favorite spot - hands down the best and biggest burritos I’ve ever had. The quality was always consistent, portions were generous, and the service was always fast and friendly.
Unfortunately, today and the past 2 times that I have ordered this month has been really disappointing. The double meat burritos were thin, missing beans, and nowhere near the size or quality we’ve come to expect. The tacos also arrived plain, even though I specified for them to come with everything.
It feels like the consistency and care that made this place stand out just isn’t there anymore. For the prices, the portions and quality just don’t match what they used to be. I really hope things improve because this used to be one of the best Mexican spots around, but lately the experience hasn’t been even half as good.
Update: I spoke with Celeste after posting my review, and she was incredibly understanding. She listened to my concerns, assured me she’d address them with the team, and offered to make things right.
Thank you, Celeste - that’s the level of customer service we’ve usually been treated with here. It means a lot, and I’m hopeful the quality will return to what made this spot...
Read more2 5 stars.....Again, having a Mexican mother (and born-and-raised in Texas), my standards are MUCH higher fir Nezican food, so forgive the snootyness. I ordered at 10am: machaca and egg burrito, carne asada taco and taco de lengua. Moving from worst to...."best". Carne asada taco was terrible. Bland, over-cooked and a waste of money, I'm sorry. I think it was yesterday's leftovers, reheated. Lengua taco...slightly better, but PLEASE season your meat! If I wanted hospital tacos, I'd go eat at the hospital cafeteria. Machaca burrito.....better seasoned, tasted more fresh, but still, pretty average. Burrito was decent-sized, but I don't know what I paid for it because #1 the prices are all blacked-out (along with a note that says their prices have increased) and #2 I didn't get a receipt. Overall, I would say VERY VERY average place, and unless I'm desperate, I don't think I'd come again. Mexican food is very common in this city, so mediocrity is not...
Read moreWhat a rip off! Food not good and totally overpriced. Ordered a cheese enchilada and got a cheese quesadilla instead. $10.99 for a tortilla with cheese they didn't even melt! Came with a tablespoon of rice and a tablespoon of beans, seriously ridiculous. Salsa was as thin as water! Just checked the receipt and there is a $1.50 "Custom Item" charge. Don't know what for, except that their rip offs. Might be because we asked them to leave something off the burrito. I can see if we asked them to add something, but, seriously $1.50 charge for something they got to keep because we didn't want. I'll NEVER be back and really wished we hadn't...
