The Generator Community Maker Space — Attraction in Sparks

The Generator is the most amazing Art Space I think I will ever come across. I walked in a week prior to this post and have been back everyday since.

It's essentially a community of amazing artistic people that provide resources, workshops and support with almost anything artistic you can think of.This is a community trying to empower artist through every aspect that they may need help in. It's like an art gym. You pay monthly, you have access to all the resources in the building and plus so trainers too!

Not to mention the fact that this place makes insanely good art that you see all the time such as the Whale downtown. Come check it out even if you just slightly interested. It honestly can't hurt and you'll only gain! This place is based off the community it greats so lets make this community bigger and...

The facility is remarkable. I can feel and see the creativity everywhere. Unfortunately after one free kids art class i got so turned off we never went back. We came on a snowy day to get out of the house, new to this city and it is extremely hard to find a niche. The facilitator handed the kids hard lumps of clay. And was set on selling a rentable worker space to a couple that appeared to have tech jobs. Barely said much to us at all. The parents plugged into their devices and I asked her to maybe please get some water because the clay was too hard to mold. She was nice enough to remember the water but my overall vibe of the place at that point, became a very cliquish space that is partial to welcoming to folks that can contribute monetarily. The Generator and staff have been nothing but amazing! They were very flexible with our needs and accomodations to lease a space for our operations. They've gone above and beyond our expectations and we've been nothing but thrilled to work out of the facility. Travelling colleagues are always eager to visit on their first ever trips to Reno - Tahoe and fans of our efforts worldwide always love seeing the environment online. Tons of friendly and creative building neighbors inside everywhere to be found and the fun all ages events hosted onsite add onto the experience.
