Update: Yannis, thank you for responding and validating my observations.
I was charged $2, but you can hold on to the $0.50 as the cost of the stamp is more than that. If you want to charge extra, that's your business, but it should be disclosed, either on the menu or by the server. Although the last hour may be slow is some restaurants, I wouldn't say every. I understand the staff can start cleaning up during that time, but it was a first for me where the kitchen lights were off and they left. Like I said, if that works for your place, that's ok, it just was a new experience for me.
Also, for me, I'd rather have my dish heated in the oven vs the microwave, especially if I'm eating out. The taste difference is very obvious.
As for the food itself, it was ok. The spread platter was good. The moussakka plate had a lemony flavor, which at first came off as bad/sour. The person who ordered it didn't expect that, so they didn't enjoy it, but if that's your unique recipe, that's fine. The chicken souvlaki was ok as well, aside from the tzatziki. I'm used to breast, but thigh wasn't bad.
Original review: I'll give a generous three stars because the owner and server were nice.
We arrived an hour before closing, not 10min before, and the kitchen was already cleaning up. We were the only ones there.
We ordered the spread platter for app, then moussakka and souvlaki's for dinner. Spread platter was ok, but not enough pita for 4. Asked for extra pita and got one pita cut up. Fine.
A good amount of microwave action could be heard, as the microwave is towards the front of the kitchen, again, we were the only ones eating. Food came and it was obvious not only the moussakka was microwaved, but also the souvlaki. The tsatziki on the souvlaki was dark and seemed like it had cooked off in the microwave, so we asked for more. Got some in one of those small metal ketchup containers.
By this time, maybe 30min before closing, the kitchen closed and the cooks left. Not sure what would happen if someone walked in, but I guess they have their system down by now.
When the bill came, I was surprised to see a $2 charge for the extra single pita, and a $3 charge for the little extra tsatziki. The charges should be disclosed and servings could be bigger if it's going to be extra.
May return to try the "famous" gyro, but will have to do it during the day while the...
Read moreFound this gem while driving down Colvin Mill Rd, did my research and loved the menue and the reviews. I am a local business myself and I love to support local family owned business, there is a touch you can not get from a chain operation or a resturaunt that the owner is not managing and present.
Tonight was the night to give it a try.…. As I entered I was greeted by Yannis & Divika, they are both amazing people and very welcoming.
Taramosalata- Fish row with lemon that you scoop with pita bread. This was outstanding having a incredible authentic taste, not fishy at ALL with the perfect texture. Wow! This was a great appetizer to start with.
“Best Damn Gyro” classic pork- Let me tell you it delivered. Not the nasty processed gyro that most places have or the frozen slices. This meat was fresh, moist, authentic and full of flavor with amazing fixens on it. Such great quality. I’m addicted.
NY Sirloin Steak- These two skewers were so tender, juicy and full of flavor from the spices and the grill. Not over done with spices and cooked to a perfect medium as ordered.
Potatoes Fourmou- Oven roasted perfectly with lemon and spices, mash them up and soak up all the savory lemon broth. Totally delicious.
Galakobouteko- This Greek dessert is custard baked in filo with a light honey sauce that will blow you away. I have never had this before and it was spectacular and clearly homemade and baked in house. This will satisfy your sweet tooth as well as give you incredible and refreshing clean flavors after an amazing meal.
Thelo Greek Kuzina is much more then just a place to eat, it is a local bakery, grill and is now part of our Great Falls community. This place uses quality everything and you can tell the owner is passionate and a seasoned vet in the food and restaurant business.
Stop by and get dinner and some sweets, you will get “A Slice Of Greece” and meet two fantastic people Yannis and Divika all while supporting a local business in the Great Falls community, having authentic Greek food that has fresh quality meats and ingredients.

Read moreBest damn Greek place around here, just like the sign says out front. We can confirm after multiple visits this is the case! And like a good book - don't judge by the unassuming location and small size!
John/ Yanis makes this place stand out because of his personal touch: the food, the stories, the life wisdom that flows from him make it an experience you won't easily forget. And he is constantly supervising and yelling instructions in the open kitchen which is probably why there are never disappointments here.
The food is why we are here and go out of our way to visit. This is truly a break from the touristy version of Greek food we have grown accustomed to in the US, and frankly even in many not so authentic Greek restaurants we ate in while visiting Greece.
The meet is prepared with ingredients that make it fragrant and tasteful. The Imam Baildi (baked eggplant in tomato sauce, pine nuts, raisins) is a delicacy to die for, as is the Lamb & Beef Giaourtlou Bifteki - do yourself a favor and try it with expertly made rice instead of the fries.
Even the "simple" street food style Gyro is unique - instead of whatever processed and salted "meat" we got used to in the US, his is 100% real meat, and you feel it with its taste and texture. Wrapped in a freshly baked pita is a mouth watering treat, and truly lives up to Yani's claim : "Best Damn Gyros"!
and try Thelo Greek Salad - if you think you like Greek Salad, you're in for a treat with a surprise fresh bread finished on the grill on the side. Perfectly dressed - just right - neither too light nor too dry.
Every visit we try something different, often get help choosing by Yani, and are consistently rewarded with scrumptious dishes, and an interesting dialogue with a truly friendly and pleasantly eccentric Yani. We also often buy some of the good looking food to go: Greek Olive Oil (he knows the makers of course), Halva, exquisite desserts and bread and more.
And finally the check - we absolutely think the food is underpriced - grab it while you can and leave...
